Hi. I am re-installing a Chubb alarm system that I took with me when I moved house (will be wired upto a new scantronic panel not yet purchased)... Is there anyone with knowledge of the wiring diagram and how to connect the Chubb sounder W73522? It has ten points labelled: 1: Siren Hi-off 2. +V 3. 0V 4. Siren 5. Bat +ve 6. Bat -ve 7. Tamp 8. Tamp 9. +STR 10. -STR Specifically I want to get the bell connected and placed in-situ up but silence the sounder until I connect the panel. thx.philz @ zamaniphil@yahoo.co.uk

Evening Folks, I've just finished the cable runs for my Avanti system (DIY install) and was wondering if it really is worth running a phone line extension for the UDL stuff. Does anyone use it and is it really that useful? The avanti manual is pretty **** and doesn't really make clear the benifits etc. Also - Am thinking of a seperate GSM Dialler - Would I simply take another output to the bell box to use as the input to the GSM Dialler? guys, Nick

I hope someone might be able to help! I moved into a house twelve months ago with a concept six system installed. In all the time I have lived in the house the system has been set to 'Day' and the green light has always been on. We never touched the system, or even turned it on or off when leaving the building. This morning at 7.30 am the alarm started sounding. Despite my best efforts I was unable to switch off. The alarm rang for twenty minutes and then stopped. The box on the front of my property is now flashing strobe light. How can correct the system so that the strobe light Strobe flashing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! Can anyone help me with an urgent problem of mine please? I am currently fitting a scantronic 9752 system and am using a FSL (fully supervised loop) connection process. I am finding it pretty straight forward as I've had a lot of experience (non-professionally) of installing security systems, but when it comes to wiring magnetic contacts on doors, I have a problem!!! Where do I fit resistors across the magnetic contact to complete the FSL connection? The PIR's and other sensors are using 2K and 4K resistors to differenciate between tamper and alarm conditions and I jusrt can't get my head around what to do with the magnetic contacts, because obviously, there are on…

I've seen the page from Kenny James which takes you up to the point where the customer code is 0123......but what happens next??? Thank you in anticipation! Celia

Hi all, I moved into my house about a year ago & have had no real trouble with the alarm system - unless you count trying to unset it after a few drinkies! A few weeks ago the alram started to go off for no apparent reason. For the sanity of my neighbours, I decided to leave it unset. Unfortunately, I've just returned tonight & it has triggered again (whilst unset?!) the tamper button on the control panel was flashing. Has anyone any idea what could be causing this or any (Janet & John style) suggestions as to what I could do to rectify the problem please?

STROKE: Remember The 1st Three Letters.. S.T.R. My friend sent this to me and encouraged me to post it and spread the word. I agree. If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks. Seriously Please read: STROKE IDENTIFICATION: During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been ta…
