HI !

I can't open the JPG. Says permission denied....

..... BUT I THINK IT WILL SOLVE MY PROBLEM TOO....

I try to connect a cable reed sensor to my FU8320 (ABUS) ...

...so 2 wires, 2 Screw clamp (ALARM) and 2 resistors 2k2 4k7.....

.... can anyone tell me how to connect them.....

2k2 from one screw clamp to the ohter....

4k7 from screw clamp to wire ?!

THX

I'm assuming the 2.2k is the shunt and the 4.7 k is end of line, if not just reverse the two.

1 Connect one end of the 2.2 to one of the screws along with one of the wires.

2 Connect the other end of the 2.2 to the other screw along with one end of the 4.7.

3 Connect remaining wire to other end of 4.7.

Most UK reed contacts have 5 screws 3 of which are just there for making connections.

You may have to solder the one wire to the end of the 4.7 if you only have 2 screws.

If you draw the above circuit you will see that with the switc shut the panel will read 4.7k and with the switch open it will read 6.9k
