:?: i need some advive on which panel to upgrade my presant system too,im currently using an old ADE concept 6 panel which im planning to replace with either a pyronix sterling 10 or an ADE accenta 8 (g3) could you give me your thoughts on either of these panels & any experiences (good or bad) that you have had with them please.............ROB excellent forum by the way

I have a 9448 Alarm system with the Engineer codes and of course my main code, I would like to swap out a Shock sensor for a PIR. (Changed patio slider for french windows) IF I place the system in program mode will it allow me to remove the shock sensor and replace with PIR? OR .... will it come up in a 'panic/tamper' alarm? Any help appreciated before I wake up the neighbours! Regards Ian

I hope someone can point me in the right direction on this. Veritas 8 blows the bell fuse (fs2) only when the back up battery is connected. If i remove the battery, or the battery fuse all works ok. I just wondered if i am over looking something simple, or a possible goosed panel. The battery will power the panel with no mains, i havent tried the bell on just the battery though. Very strange, any advice would be a great help. Tia

Can anyone PLEASE HELP. We have just moved house and it has an "OPTIMA XM6" alarm fitted but there is no manual and I have no idea what the code is. How can I get an instrution manual, and can I cancel the existing code without knowing it , and install my own code. Many Thanks, Mel.
