Hello, Im just about to upgrade my old bellbox which has served me really well over the last 10 years, but it looks tired & weathered now, with the flashing leds about to give up now. Having said that the piezos still scream & strobe also works. Its a Pyronix Belle model. I am considering to upgrade to the Newer Pyronix Deltabell Plus Model, are they good, quality wise? Naturally I'm hoping to make transition to the same manufacurer, as the old one has never given problems. I've seen on this forum many are fans of the Gardtec products Novagard etc, and also texacom oddessey, but how do you professionals rate the Pyronix range in terms of quality. I haven't yet…

TFL have announced auto pay fr congestion charging, i.e. the camera clips you plate and bills your credit or debit card. The new charge is £10 a day if paid in advance or on the day, £12:00 if paid after 10pm or next day, but auto pay will be £9.00. i asked them to o tis several years ago, my son could never remmeber to pay it, and got many fines (and he not me paid them). from previous debate some will recoil at the very idea, but is see it surely better to over an errant £9 charge than get slapped with a non payment fine. i'll put as much time into a meter as i can, just to avoid getting a £70 ticket if i get delayed. cost £10 a year to register, for those companie…

Anyone been watching this closely? Bought some chicken drumsticks and paid almost 3 quid for them. Put into freezer saw another pack of them ( teach me not to check), £2.20. So 75p increase within two weeks. Leg of lamb for sunday, £15 quid. They now put security tags on most meat joints at local Asda. Can remember being a store detective for a short while, biggest thievs were pensioners nicking the tins of salmon! Has the world gone kin crazy?

  7. been on the box, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-12115179 we see this being done by other drivers, tbh mixed feelings if its good or bad as some could be confused or simply slam on te brakes as they tend to for fix camera's or even old speed marking spots on the road wheere road works are long gone, so i don't in general do it. on country lanes i will flash to warn of hazards like horse's (have about 5 stables within a 3 mile radious) or an accident to oncommig drivers while making a slow down signal. this guy has now got a criminal record just for warning ohers, yet cases where excessive speed led to death end up with a fine, surely not something anyone…

Hi, I have just purchased a new house (which is going to be a rental) and am installing an alarm system in it. One question I have it for the conservatory. Is there a particular detector that you would fit in this room or would you just use a standard PIR? Any advice would be appreciated.

Need a little help please guys - trying to connect a honeywell activ8 PIR to an accenta gen4 system. I broke an exisiting PIR when decorating (bit too close with wallpaper steamer), got an activ8 as a freebie from a mate but it has different contacts. Old PIR black and red to + and - yellow and white to tamper and tamper blue and green to C and NC New PIR still has 2 tamper and + and - so I assume I wire those four wires the same. This new PIR does not have C and NC, it has EOL, EOL, Relay and Relay? Where the chuff to green and blue wires go?? Much appreciated guys, going away over christmas, would like alarm working before we go! Nick.

  15. Hi, All have 2 of these machines and can use it with the basic user passwords but it will not let me change the resolution which is set at a very low capture rate and recording time without entering the admin password,Iknow they can be reset to factory settings but there lays the problem.I understand that it is unwise to publish such information in these forums. So the question is how can i recieve the reset information as these are second user items purchased privately. With hindsight BUYER BEWARE EBAY.. I would not have bought them if the seller would have told me they were locked down as such, here's hoping you guys will have some info for me,Thanks Bill.
