Please can anyone help. During the week the door to our utility room slamped shut due to a through wind as the front door was opened. This caused a t to appear on the control panel display. This has happened before but we managed to reset the alarm. This time we can not reset the alarm. When we do try to reset we get the SE then On then the alram goes off and the t reappears. Please can anyone suggest a cause and solution. Thank you Nick

Why will a bell box strobe light be flashing at all times when I have no tamper light, the alarm system functions fully otherwise, and the bell alarm sounds when tested? Could it be low battery warning? I replaced the bell box fuse recently, so the battery would have been low, although has been charging now for over a week. ???

Hi all, We moved into our present house last July, which is fitted with an Accenta 8 alarm system. The Tamper light has been flashing constantly since we moved in. Not sure who fitted the alarm: builders or someone employed by the owners. I have tried RESET but this has no effect. The alarm still sets and resets correctly but I cannot access any of the other functions, such as changing the alarm code, checking the sensors / alarms etc. Can anyone help please. I am an electrical engineer but with no manual or otherwise, I know better than to go fiddling with things I don't understand. Thanks for any help.

In view of the landmark liable case won today where by a woman in a chat room labled a guy a sex pest (or something similar) and he has just successfully sued her ..... having to go to court to track down the IP number of her computer etc etc. I would just like to apologise to any of the Nationals or individuals whom I might have insulted recently. I'm very sorry. It won't happen again..........allegedly

Hi, can anyone help, I have just installed a Veritas Excel control Panel with 3 PIR's, 2 Door contacts and 2 remote keypads (veritas excel). My problem is that although I have given each keypad a different address (1 and 6) and they have a seperate cable run back to the Control panel, when I power up and try and key the code in I get an alarm and the keypads dont seem to be recognised. If I only connect one RKP then the system works fine, I have disconnected both individually and both work individually. Is this a problem with the addressing? I have checked the wiring run and all connections and they seem fine- I have wired both RKPs on their own cable runs(only about 2 me…

Hi, I have got a Veritas 8 alarm and the alarm went off, despite the system not being set at the time. When inputting the code the internal sounder stopped, but the external box continued to go off for 20 minutes. Even when I put the code in and tried resetting the system the external sounder continued to siren. The "unset" light is now flashing and we cannot set the alarm. The light on the external box is also flashing. Any suggestions as to what the fault may be? Thanks!

Hello, Hope someone can help! We've had the electricity switched off all morning, and I noticed that with it the alarm switched off too. Usually if this happened in the past, the battery would keep it going for some time. Clearly the battery is done for. Unfortunately what that has meant is that with the return of the electricity, the alarm has switched back on without a code it recognises. I've tried inputting our old code, but it doesn't want to know. The "unset" light flashes, and the beeps get faster until the alarm goes off. Is there a default code that the system recognises that I could use safely? The system is a fairly old (1999-ish) Veritas panel. It's a big old…
