For some unknown reason the two keypads are beeping every 3 seconds with a flashing Power LED and showing the number "6" in the Zone. I have looked at the user and engineer manual and Im not sure what this relates to. The power to the control panel is fine. Would it be the internal Power supply? Any help or advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks Steve

Hi All , Im looking for some advice as the users manual doesn't have any problem solving pages. Last night I turned on a light downstairs which blew, and blew the 5amp lighting fuse in fusebox when it went. I think the alarm is wired into this lighting circuit ( which I think wasnt the best idea but I didnt install it ! ) Since this fuse blew, and has since been replaced and power restored, the Optima keypad is flashing up 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and A , all with the tamper light flashing along the way. I cant type in my code or get it to return to day mode. Im sure this is a very easy fix for somebody who knows what they are doing, any advice on returning to normal day mode …

Evening I have a Veritas 8C installed, it was a professional installation by an electrician I used to work with (he was an ex installer) its worked fine with no faults for the last 6 years, however, in th last couple of days it has started going odd!!! We get a horrible sound on the internal panel, then the sounder goes off, sometimes entering the user code it resets, other times it doesn't. I have the manuals both installation and user and I have the engineer code is there a quick fix or do you know of a reputable installer in the Warwick area who could service the system for me and probably change both the panel and sounder batteries. Thanks in anicipation Stuart

Hi All, I''ve just had a quote for a sytem and have requested a change. The original system had a Veritas R 8 Plus Control Box and i've now asked for a LCD Excel key pad so that's an upgrade from the Veritas R 8 Plus to the Veritas Excel. Now the installer has indicated this upgrade will be

Hi All I have recently moved into a property. The Veritas 8 alarm installed by the previous owner has worked perfectly for the last few months. However now, when I put in the code and try to activate the alarm, the alarm beeps but does not stop after 30 seconds. The beeping continues and the alarm remains unset. Can anyone help me with problem. If, as I suspect, it's going to require an engineer, can anyone recommend an engineer in the Sheffield area. Thanks

Hi I have a Vista 4110 UXM with 6127 keypad that was linked to //.National Installer.// when we moved in to the house but has since been disconected. The alarm is locked and shows the CE 06 86750 not ready code and won't allow me to reset or override. As we are no longer connected to //.National Installer.// I would like to be asle to reactivate the system and have it as a stand alone system. How do i reset the system and allow it to work again??? I know its and old system but its better than nothing

We have recently moved into a house that has an //.National Installer.// alarm system which we now want re-activated. The engineer came round and said there was no point doing it as we have a cat and it would set off the sensors. Having been on the internet it would appear that we can get pet friendly sensors - is this correct?
