There is a Concept 6 alarm in the house I rent. Came back in a little while ago and the alarm is going off, although there are no lights on the keypad and nothing I press has any effect. Have seen from another thread on here that it could be connected to the earlier thunderstorm. How can I switch it off - the noise is driving me a little mad! And I am living up to the stereotype of somewhat useless female so any suggestions need to remember that! I have found a box in the attic with Concept 6 on that has a red light so presume something works somewhere but just want the noise to stop! Thank you for any suggestions.

Hi, i want to re program my optima 2 plus alarm system, as it has been set up wrong. I dont have the manual. Does anyone know where i can get the manual from. Thanks Sam.

I have a 9651EN backend station with 9940 keypad which I’d like to configure ‘partial set’ on, however the installation manual does not cover this topic. It merely mentions that it is possible. I have both the pdf and printed versions. Simply, I want to be able to configure SET B to only trigger the alarm if an intrusion occurs in zones 1, 2 and 3 (i.e. for monitoring 3 door contacts downstairs during the night). Please could anyone outline the steps for me. Thanks

I'm not an expert on tools, but my friend is fed up with me robbing his drill so I'm looking to get one my mate reckons I need either a 24v or 36v, I was looking at something like hitachi or bosch drill has anyone got any recomendations as there not cheap and I don't wont to waste my money

I have a Honeywell Domonial system which i removed the monitoring service from. Recently the Keyfob (remote) stopped working, i thought it was the battery but having replaced it although the lights come on, on the keyfob the alarm does not respond. Is there a way of re adding it to the system, i checked through the manual but can't find any instructions. We use it quite frequently so i would be eternally greatful if somebody could tell me how to re add it to the system.

Hi I'm looking for an alternative for coopers 957EUR-00, preferably something where i won't have to uninstall my current router. ie a plug and play modem with a usb connection. Any suggestions will be much appreciated Tom

I have TalkTalk broadband and telephone and a new ADT alarm system. ADT cannot get the alarm to work with TalkTalk. According to TalkTalk engineers there has always been a compatibility issue between their service (previously OneTel) and ADT. I have been told that it will simply never work. But when I search internet chat rooms, there do seem to be people out there with both TalkTalk and ADT working on the same line. We have checked filters, router, and BT line - everything looks good from, yet it still will not work.

I had the usual problem of the bell going off when there is a power cut. I replaced the backup battery and checked the fuse. My supplier sold me a 12V 2.2AH battery saying it would be ok even though the original battery was a 2.8ah and the recommended was 7ah. The bell still goes off when the power fails and the battery is still giving out 12.6 volts. The system is an intellisense 800L So is the problem the battery? or is it the board? Or is it me? Help appreciated.

Hi, I have recently commisioned a school in birmingham, a galaxy g3-96 panel and have had an issue with setting differnt areas with a tag, after setting each user up the with the same access rights and areas as the user with a tag, it seems that the tag sets all areas, going stragiht to a timed set but the codes do give me the option of setting each area individually. After speaking to a colleuge he's under the impression that this is the case with g3's ,can only set different areas wtih a code and not a tag. Is this the case ??

Hi, Hope I am doing this posting correctly - if not apologies! Also I apologise for rabbiting on! Our flat has an Veritas 8C alarm fitted and until recently it has been excellent and no problems. However we had a massive flood from the flat above ours and to cut a long story short, the alarm no longer works. The Landlord of the above flat sent an Alarm Engineer out who told us the following: the existing cabling has been damaged due to the water ingress. the best way forward is to tell the the Company you will employ to do the job involved it will need a partial rewire to the rear of the building. Hi guys, new to the forum. I am not a qualified security installer so excuse my ignorance. I have invested in a new alarm and sounder. Scantronics 9651 and Elmdene HS 500/m. Wiring semmed to go ok but have hit an issue with tamper problem to bell which i can not seem to get rid off. I know there are 2 tampers in the sounder, on the back plate and the cover, am i missing a tamper or have i to do something back at the panel? Any assistance will be appreciated. Thanks

Can someone tell me what technology the Texecom fobs use. Once an alarm panel has given a code to a fob, is it possible to use the same fob with a door entry system? Any particular models recommended?

I have a castle alarm system in my new house (http://www.castle-caretech.com/prod-euro76.html). I'm pretty sure its a Euro model as its identical to the keypad on the website on the link earlier. Its a reasonably old system (looks to be about 10 years or so). The alarm maintenance company weren't particularly helpful so I'm looking to approach the manufacturer for information on it. Is there any way to tell exactly which model I have so that I can download the correct user manual from the castle website or request one from the manufacturer if (as I suspect) its an out of date model?
