Found myself taking pictures of my work today. Not to prove how good i am... But to prove i had done certain things so that nothing could come back on me. But when did this world become a place where everyone looks to blame someone? This was at a school where things can quite easily be messed about with, so therefore i have a picture to prove that i did put the nylon nut on the bolt that holds the pole in place.

  2. I am trying to get a time clock for a set of gates so they don't open on bank holidays and Xmas. Does anyone know of a supplier in the uk. I can find some across the pond but don't fancy importing one. Paul

What's the thoughts on this regarding products we use. we offer 3rd party certification as service providers, yet many of us rely on the manufacturer to be honest on if their product complies. what due diligence on non 3rd party certed products you use do you do? bear in mind the service provider is legally responsible for proving compliance as per the certificate we issue. do you prefer a 3rd party certified product or are you happy with a non inspected manufacturer claiming compliance. how do you test self certified products are actually compliant?

  5. Wondered what everybody thought about this? Now she may look a bit like a Jeremy Kyle guest but she does not cause any kind of disturbance. If anything the Asian chap seems the aggressor, and he is sent on his way. Disclaimer: she might just be fat It has been reported that she was released without charge, if anything that just makes it worse IMO, total abuse of power. The Police also tried to deny the incident had taken place until the video surfaced.

  7. Hi all, Been looking at fitting one of the infinite prime kits for a customer. I would rather go for a two way wireless panel but the customers budget wont stretch to this. Have any of you fitted one of these panels/kits, are they any good or worth swerving? .

A simple trick i use so you have global tampers, keeps triggering, these days rare for lace wiring etc. so unless cable damage its likely going o be a lid contact. 1st record each individual s/p loop resistance, look for any obviously high or greatly different resistances, now stick the pair in series with the sab hold off you can now hear exactly when and if the loop is affected as tamper contacts 'pop' when you lift lids, and know when they remake, and not cluttered by your meter, you have both hands free. now re-check the loops and look for any changes against earlier measurements. if you have an open loop but unmarked cables and zones, connect the open pair betwe…

Morning all, I'm just trying to get as many details about as many wireless alarms as possible. Part of the purpose of this is seeing how much people know about the alarms from the material available to them, so don't worry if you think someone else will have already filled it out. Anyway, here is the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1_8zYoiQb1m_3EmRP_MaBX4kEJI6cDRLvzJQhFDyIA2Y/viewform?pli=1 Thanks!

  12. Just spoken to youngest son. Sergeant in ACF. (16 yrs old) Told him if he is attacked he is to use maximum force and training. He told me this. "Orders from defence minister and our sector commandant, no cadet is to attend their respective detachments wearing any number dress uniform or parts there of." "That is the rule for London, unsure about the rest of the country" (Him speaking). Then, " Yesterday at cadets the order wasn't received until almost all the cadets were at the unit. The instructors had to contact all parents and asked them to pick their cadets up with a set of civvy clothing. And the unit was shut down for the night " So this is what…
