Cubit Posted June 1, 2013 Share Posted June 1, 2013 Not wanting to hijack the thread but talking of Comlit stuff, just wondering about the security of their prox stuff, fitted a few comelit prox readers, specified by client, but all fob data is held in reader and all the reader has is NO/NC contacts that then interface with whatever access control you are using. Surely that is not a secure system, short two cores on the reader and you're in!-readers I normally use have a remote panel and shorting anything at the reader will at best blow a fuse and not allow access. Also if a Comelit reader is destroyed/removed, all user data is gone also, not just a case of replacing reader and alls up and running. Just wanted a bit of feedback tbh-Comelit prog all the fobs before despatch, any views on the pro's and cons-obviously there may be be more than one Comelit reader than the one my client has specced for us to use.
