Anyone been following this new series on channel 4 that the residents are now wanting banned as it shows them 'in a bad light'? I'm sure anyone who hands over tax every month would have more than reasonable grounds to be annoyed after watching the program.

I have an 8SP 400 Accenta mini G3 with remote LED key pad and 5No Texecom Veritas Reflex PIRs. I have just moved one of the PIR's but had to disconnect the 6-core cable from the PIR to pull it through the joists. Now I have connected it back up (correctly I assure you) none of the PIR's are registering anymore. I have both the engineers code and our set/reset code plus the manual but there is no obvious way of getting it to reset - is there a simple way I can reset it to get it working again? Any help would be appreciated.

Please use this post to discuss the blog entry: An Uninvited Guest In Your Living Room... A bit of a diversion from the usual security aspect in this one but I feel like it makes an interesting subject to discuss. Say goodbye to your remotes ...

Hi guys! Hope you are all well, as i said earlier in a previous thread our company is fairly new although ive been installing CCTV for a long time the company hasn't been formed for a long time. So in that case I wanted to ask some of our experienced members out there, what marketing method they use, and if they work or not. My company does Computer services and also CCTV installations/repairs and only really want to install High Quality equipment and in this day and age "high quality" doesn't come cheap, lol. Yell? Google Ad-words? I'm currently in the process of getting my vehicles sign written and wondered whether we have any success stories out there? …

Hi, I am an enthusiastic amateur just joined and hoping for some advice. I have an old Omnicrom 700 which I installed years ago. It has been reliable, effective and served me well. The bell box though was damaged by the builders so I have tried to fit a Honeywell Reson 8. Just can’t get it to work though. The led both come on and the systems is quiet when I put it all together. Rest using engineers code still OK. When I try to arm I get 2 zone lights come on and can’t get rid of them. Set the alarm and it seems to work except when I trip it the internal sounder goes off but not the bell box. Arghh! Any ideas? I have mirrored the wiring Panel …

I've just been for a walk (yes nearly killed me) to the local Co-op as despite having more food in the house than a Asda distribution warehouse what daugher wants for her flask tomorrow she hasn't got and I've had too much to drink. The path to the Co-op is via a less than disirable estate and it can get very dark so I had my trusty maglite with me. The shop assistant said I should be careful as the police would see it as an offensive weapon but I don't see how a torch could be? Any views on this?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2527820/Marks-Spencer-tells-Muslim-staff-CAN-refuse-serve-customers-buying-alcohol-pork.html Would this take you back if you went to the supermarket and because you bought booze or porky pig that you'd have to wait to be served by a non Muslim? Seems a simple solution to the problem. Sack the humans and deploy more self service tills. Job done.
