does anyone know if you can fit Samsung cctv monitors onto dual or triple computer stands? the versions i have seen have a square indentation on the back i cant find my calipers at the moment an don't know the plate sizes of the stands either, Ive been looking at the clamp on type, an think it would probably be the best option but not sure size wise, an what about the extra weight of these screens they are rather heavy compared to my pc lcd screens. i was thinking they might be too heavy for the table top style stands. would two smt-1934 19inch either side of a stm-17 17 inch collapse onto the floor?

I always thought our friends north of the border had a reputation for being quite miserable but my second trip to Glasgow has seen nothing but nice folks. This normal or am I just lucky?

Hi there So, quick easy question........ How do you upgrade the firmware on an Elite 24 panel? As the new firmware version V2.11 is out, I am looking to upgrade. I have jumped the gun and purchased the Flasher to do so but it has become apparent that this Flasher is for the Elite 48 and above alarm panels. Who can shed some light on this? Thanks. D

If this is breaking forum rules, please sue me. My wife is taking part in something called Airfield Anarchy (http://www.airfieldanarchy.com/) to raise awareness and money for one of the conditions that my daughter (14 months) has - Nystagmus. Nystagmus is an incurable eye condition, more details here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nystagmus We have been so overwhelmed by the generosity of, in some cases, complete strangers that have donated some of their hard earned money to support someone that they have never met. The challenge is fast approaching her so I am trying to give her one last push. Her donation page is here - http://www.justgiving.com/Samantha…

I'm currently waiting at Accrington train station dressed rather nicely and the silence has been broken and I'm now surrounded by around 15 youths who judging by the behaviour and language aren't exactly the nicest of kiddy winkies. My train isn't for 10 minutes. Do you think I I show them my SIA warrant badge they will be suitably scared not to pound my head in and nick my 2 computers and iToy? And the train is 11 minutes late. Great.

Hello all, I'd really appreciate your help. Two days before going on holiday I decided to change an ageing bell box which I suspected the battery backup had gone faulty in. Well I wasn't too far wrong - turns out the +ve wire running to the battery in the bell box wasn't even connected. Regardless, out with the old, in with the new. I've have an ADE Optima Compact, suspected around 10 years old. Trying to wire up to a new AG6 Honeywell box. 6 connections to 5. Strobe +ve left to one side. I am having major issues! As i have had to remove the control panel to view wiring, this has resulted in a tamper alarm silenced by entering the code. When replacing the …

Model 8EP396A-UK Wish I'd never decided to try this out, what a nightmare to programme. Problem is, I think I'm sure I've got all the part set zones programmed in now but when I exit engineer mode and enter user code followed by 'P' to select the part sets nothing happens. The panel just carries on setting. Am I being a total numpty and missing something? Do I have to enable part sets somewhere. Always happens the day before you're due to go on holiday doesn't it?

Hello Looking for some help, after a recent power cut (lasted 2 days) my Infinite Wireless alarm is not working properly. The key pad is non responsive even though the display is lit and working, it attempts to arm some times but stops in progress, seems like something in intefeering with it, the speaker crackles and it disarms. I checked the fuses and the internal batt is charged. Ive had power cuts before and never had this problem. Normally very reliable system but cant figure this one out, the unit is linked to an odyssey siren. Any help would be great. Regards Mike.

Right I have a job which has been installed and working perfectly or for 2 years, then six weeks ago it started to go wrong. The job has a Scantronic 65en installed 3x rkps all wired on network 1, Next to the control panel there is a msnode address 2 wired on network 2, There is also an mspsu address 1 wired on network 2 fitted about 50m away, All detection devices are wired 2k/4k As I said the job was working fine, then I started getting random tamper faults on the devices wired on the mspsu so zones 2011 to 2018, no standard tamper faults on any of these zones, all zones are wired on individual cables, checked for ac induction on the mspsu found 10v induced fitted…
