March 10, 200620 yr comment_89983 Hi All , Im looking for some advice as the users manual doesn't have any problem solving pages. Last night I turned on a light downstairs which blew, and blew the 5amp lighting fuse in fusebox when it went. I think the alarm is wired into this lighting circuit ( which I think wasnt the best idea but I didnt install it ! ) Since this fuse blew, and has since been replaced and power restored, the Optima keypad is flashing up 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and A , all with the tamper light flashing along the way. I cant type in my code or get it to return to day mode. Im sure this is a very easy fix for somebody who knows what they are doing, any advice on returning to normal day mode would be most appreciated. Many thanks Rory. March 10, 200620 yr comment_89984 It will have either defaulted the codes or locked out, try the default code in the user manual. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool. March 10, 200620 yr comment_89986 Most likely to have crashed (mains surge / duff battery), reboot , mains first , get it checked over soon. If you are doing it yourself , beware of Hazardous Voltages. March 10, 200620 yr comment_89990 How do I do a reboot ? Turning the mains off has no effect on what its doing .. I take it the internal batt is keeping it alive. March 10, 200620 yr comment_89993 Remove mains , remove the battery , apply mains , enter code , reconnect battery , close panel , press reset , should be back to normal. Arrange to get it checked over tho...or it may happen again.
