Having had the mains power off to install new socket and light on swithing poer back on alarm now in lockout. No response to key pad (no bleeps). Key pad illuminated, power illuminated, Day illuminated, Zone 1 illuminated. How do I get out of lockout?

When I moved to my house the old owners left the alarm code on a small slip of paper I've lost. I rang the manufacturer who suggested I speak to the local crime prevention officer who'd point me to a local service engineer. No joy. Rang the manufacturer helpline which sent me a PDF file containing reset instructions, however these rely on my knowing the engineer code which may be default but I don't want to risk tampering with it, setting the alarm of and not being able to switch off the alarm. Any ideas ? I live in Kent, UK.

Hi! I hope someone can help. This forum is awesome and i'm hoping. I'm looking at the board from a 700L that is producing only 0.5V at the supplies to the Battery/Aux/Bell etc. There is 15VAC out of the transformer tho! One clue maybe some very dark patches on the board both round the heat sink, and the Diodes just below the tranny input. Also the system has been disconnected for some time (possibly two years). Not sure whether that was because it stopped working or a chippie chopped some wires! For information, the alarm was last serviced in 2002, the backup battery was left in despite being installed in '97. It is only showing 0.6V so I've obtained a new one alread…

I've just moved to a house where an optima XM 4 zone alarm is installed - probably installed at least 9 years ago. The problem I have is when the electricty supply goes off, so does the outside bell - does this indicate the battery needs changing - is it in the alarm panel or bell box and if so how do I go about changing it and what type of battery is usually used. Can anybody help with any kind of instructions for this ancient but still operating panel. Its seems to be working but need to change codes.

Hi, I have a sterling 10 alarm panel fitted as per my friend, only the internal sounder on his is quiet and mine is very loud. I can't see anything in the manual to alter the volume level. Any ideas as to how i can reduce the volume on the internal buzzer ? Thanks

I have had a customer call and they are having problems with there alarm and are off on hols on monday, i have arrainged to attend tomorrow am and have found out it is a 700L i do not have an install manual for this panel and need one urgent i've searched everywhere on the net and cant find anything, could someone please help?

Hi all I have a question I hope you can help me with, I am installing an alarm into my house with a speech dialler and have a question about connecting it, The alarm is a Lynteck Nexus 8 and the dialler is a Melcom AD1000 The speech dialler has an input witch can be either set to 12v or 0V dc, the panel has 5 connections to the bell box Tamper, TRG, Hold +, Hold

I know manuals cannot be given out in public forums but as i am not a trade member yet i have to use this ae to post, are the afore mentioned panels the same programming? i beleive they are if so i have a manual of one of these panels and could use it for the CK Securit 700L

We have just moved into our house with an Accenta Alarm. We were given no manual for it or anything and the other day we got home to find that the alarm box outside will beep every 15 seconds. Does anybody have any ideas as to how we stop it?
