has anyone on here know of where i can get spares for the fai " security guard 3, you will all fall about with lol but it seemed a good idea at the time,but you live and learn dont you .................... pir eats lithium pp9's do i need a new one ???also would like a servivce manua maybe this is not the right to ask for for but i fell hard done by allready !!!!!

I have a Ademco Microtech Galaxy 16 Plus (//.National Installer.//) alarm in my house and the keypad display says PA reset required. I cant seem to get it to reset and it wont let me activate the alarm. Can anyone help with this situation?

Hi, When I PART set the alarm and then enter the alarmed area the external bell box does not ring. When the alarm is set to FULL and I enter the alarmed area the external bell box rings as expected. Does anyone know how to rectify this situation. Regards.

Hi, I have a Chubb Sentinel CA67 system with a Chubb W73522 bell box which I want to reinstall. I have user manual and engineer manual but they don't show the same terminal combinations. I need to know how to wire the bell box up to the control panel. Bell Box Terminals 1: Siren Hi-off 2. +V 3. 0V 4. Siren 5. Bat +ve 6. Bat -ve 7. Tamp 8. Tamp 9. +STR 10. -STR Panel Terminals Tamper ® (-) Com Bell (+) (H) (S) ST Any help would be much appreciated

I have since posted two or three messages, but the second thread that I contributed to has been terminated, perhaps because of my thoughtless and naive messages and the member responses that it engendered. I have an alarm system that was installled by All Cooper, does anyone know their engineer access code?

I resited a PIR. I ensured I rewired the cables as per the original site, however none of my PIRs anywhere in the house now work. They used to flash on and off when detecting motion. They no longer do this, even the 2 PIRs I have not touched! THere is no light at all in the PIRs. The tamper circuit works fine. (As soon as a I take the PIR front off, the alarm sounds.) I made sure I did not connect the 12v +/- cables. Any clues?

hi i'm An electrician and i've just moved into a house with a C&K Securitech 800L system installed the battery is un plugged and some of the cabling has been cut i don't know the security code and the pevious owner has no information for it i would like to get this system working again so any help would be great. thanks john

Hi. Does anyone know how to set the optima xm6 cos i have just got a flat which already had this alarm in and now one knows the code or the zones. so i need to reset it so i can re-program it. all so does any one have a manual for this alarm.. Thanks

I would be greatful for any help you can give to rectify my alarm system. I believe it is a 580, although not sure. I had the system installed a while ago and the installation engineer no longer carries out this type of work. When the system first went on the blink the LED display was flashing AC 15-44. Now it shows En all the time in the unset mode. When I try to set the alarm the exit sounder sounds, but the system will not set and the LED shows EN again. If I go into the event log, the only thing that shows in the log is rE. According to the manual this means........... Electronic watchdog reset (engineer message) I have tried to obtain an Anti-Code or Engineer…

Help!! alarm keeps going off when not set. Problems begin with one external ring followed by the internal box omitting a loud buzz. 24 hours red light lit. The external alarm then sounds again and can only be turned off by setting the alarm and then unsetting! Had a new battery fitted in April when this problems started. Any ideas?

Hi Can anybody help, I inadvertantly pushed my panic alarm of the optima puls 2 and set it off. I have managed to switch the alarm off but can't reset the system. Do you know if it is possible to buy a key for the panic alarm to reset it? Also can anyone suggest an engineer who would be able to service the alarm? We are in Dartford Kent. Thanks Fiona

Bought a Scantronic 9448 yesterday for a customer. Fitted it all well no problems. Got a call today to say not working, went out to look and the keypad on the panel is lit but the column of leds is not, bell outside alternating, but nothing from panel, open door and no lights or sounds to say tamper, pir's still flashing, so power is to the aux side. All fuses ok, Am a spark by trade so do not know if it is a stock fault etc, easy to fix or wuld it be easier to get replacement board. Has anyone come accross this and if so what causes/caused it

I've recently had new doors fitted to my house and the connetors for the alarm were damaged. I bought new connectots and the instructions stated 'connect the yellow and blue wires to the contact switch terminals and connect the green and white wires using a spare terminal. I have red, blue, yellow and back coloured wires. I am confuesed. Can anybody help.

I have just noticed the power light is flashing, and cannot remeber if it has always done this!!! Any ideas before I disturb my alarm man on a Sunday David
