December 15, 201015 yr comment_262235 Need a little help please guys - trying to connect a honeywell activ8 PIR to an accenta gen4 system. I broke an exisiting PIR when decorating (bit too close with wallpaper steamer), got an activ8 as a freebie from a mate but it has different contacts. Old PIR black and red to + and - yellow and white to tamper and tamper blue and green to C and NC New PIR still has 2 tamper and + and - so I assume I wire those four wires the same. This new PIR does not have C and NC, it has EOL, EOL, Relay and Relay? Where the chuff to green and blue wires go?? Much appreciated guys, going away over christmas, would like alarm working before we go! Nick. December 24, 201015 yr comment_263185 Standars wiring (if there is standard) Red 12v+ Black 0v- Yellow/Blue Normally Closed Green/White Tamper. You will not need an EOL(end of line) with that panel. Hope that helps Eddie Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/30437-help-with-pir-contacts/#findComment-263185 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 December 24, 201015 yr comment_263190 Tbh there is no standard colour code used, while many companies do gave and stick to their own for their systems. For instance, many use green + and White - 12 volts, so best to stick with colours used in original pir Arfur Edited December 24, 201015 yr by arfur mo If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
