I'm fitting a galaxy2-44 at home and when I powered it up for the 1st time it has come up with French text any ideas how to default back to uk version

It's not a program option. You have a french version. I'd take it back.

You can reflash it but you will need a flash kit and the files

The menu structure will be the same if you have the english book set it up using the numeric entries.

Going to be a pita to do resets though.

French is a bit rusty now but used to demo systems to French customers.

Easier now to get a French manual!
