Anybody know where I can get hold of one of those little 'Bubble' PIR/Photocell things that you see fitted to domestic coach lamps etc. I've seen them advertised in a catalogue somewhere but cant remember where.

Im sure we touched on it once before, but how do we stand on using a backlit bell and planning permission regarding illuminated signs etc. Is there a size limit so these things are not relevant, or is there another exclusion?

Good afternoon I am making enquiries regarding our ESP Infinite security system. We have moved into a house with it installed & have not used it as yet. One of the PIRs has been taken down in one room to enable us to put coving up & we are now in a position where we would like this re-installed & some guidance as to how to operate the security system. I do have all the manuals here but must confess they do seem very daunting!! Would someone be in a position to speak to me about how to sort this out? We are in the Portsmouth area. Thanking you in advance Mrs Curtis

Saw this on another (musicians) forum, where it ran into 6 pages, just wondering how many old fogies there are on here. with the pound in the state it's in and the euro poised on the other side of the channel ready to mount an invasion, (sounds familiar) who remembers pounds/shillings and pence, was decimialisation a con or progression?

Can anyone help please. A newly installed galaxy 48 with 2 keypads each cabled in belden from panel approx 70m each. 680ohm resistor across each and link 3 removed from panel. When panel is powered up the keypads either come on with all stars or nothing and the green light flashes but they dont respond to any key presses. If I disconnect one keypad from panel the other works fine and vise versa but the 2 wont work together. Any sugestions anyone.

Hi all, I hope someone may be able to help me with this. I run a mobile webcam as I drive my truck around the UK and am looking for a decent camera to use. I have got a composite to USB adaptor on order so now just need a decent camera. My cam points out the screen of my truck so needs to be able to handle the sun. Nothing too pricy ) Paul http://www.truckcam.tv

Can a monitered alarm be added to if you dont know the engineering code and the alarm is monitered by redcare? It is a texecom system that I installed. It has since been maintained and monitered by an alarm company. I have been asked to add to the system. I am only adding 4 more sensors. I wanted to do the job without having to pay out for it to be re-commisioned or without having to ask for the engineers pass-code.

  12. Two brothers pleaded guilty to working as security guards without holding the required Security Industry Authority licence. George Michael Hannah, 57, of Alcock Avenue, Mansfield and Kevin Hannah, 52 of Shirland Drive, Mansfield, were each fined £150 and ordered to pay £100 towards costs during the hearing at Chesterfield Magistrates Court in Derbyshire on Wednesday [13 Oct]. Security guards working under a contract must hold and display a valid SIA licence. This means they have passed an approved training qualification and undergone vetting such as criminal record and identity checks. The brothers were identified during an SIA investigation into a security company bas…
