I have it on good authority that I can use xp95 heads on a Minerva 80 because its the same protocol, can any wise men out there verify this. This would certainly ease the ridiculous slow position I find myself in regards adt supply of parts,Im familiar with these panels and have the fast access codes but if anyone has or knows where I can get a manual,it would be nice to have something to read. thanks

Hello all, I have been asked to provide come up with a solution for the following problem.. background info; The building is a recycling unit. Basically wagons drive in, dump there loads, drive out and a chap in a digger shovels the load into a hopper. This is a 30x60 m building. It currently has just 4 sounder / strobe units. Now the problem is when the FA activates the drivers cannot hear it, and do not notice the strobes. Could anyone recommend any products for alerting the drivers that they may have used in the past?? Any help would be gratefully received Thanks for reading!

Hi there just moving into a old office building (1830s stone building) and its being turned back into a house, it has just had a brand new fire alarm fitted but the other day i had to drop a apollo detector to get a bit of plasterboard up and the panel didnt report a fault, this is a conventional system btw, i looked into this further and the system will report a fault if you remove a detector, but if you take out a sounder (base sounders in all the rooms) it has no problem, i have bell tested and they all work but it just seems to think everything is fine with no end of line, then i ripped up the floor in the room above and the sounder cable goes into a steel box…

Ok so Im new here and I wont lie the reason I joined was to seek some help, boss passed me the Morley Cd for Fire v6.16 but when I try and install it I get this error: FlashFiler:FF SERVER ERROR: Unknown What the hell is that error, I tried it on XP and Vista and get the same error, I wonder if the disc is damaged as he had it floating around his laptop bag, what are the chances of someone either being able to tell what I need to do to fix the error (assuming its not the disc) or someone emailing me the installation (.exe) file? Who wants to be my new best friend and help me out, I wont be cheeky and ask for v6.18 as I didnt originally have that version.

the large companies make millions a year but rely on good subbies who they pa a pittance to wot they charge just like the people of third world companies exploit children to make large profitable gains large companies are exploiting us subbies. also for the record we are a dying breed good eng to many sparks and pretenders out there cutting the real qualified engineers throats with cheap labour there must be a stop that as the electricians trade put a stop to it in there industry. any one agree or just me :

Found this on a website today... immediately thought of sending the idea to Rafiki to improve there performance......... "History Fire alarms are not a new idea. The first detector was patented in 1902 by George Darby. The heat detector and fire alarm operated by closing a circuit to sound the alarms if the temperature rose above the safe limit. The contact was made by bridging a gap with a conductor, allowing one plate to fall against another. This movement was caused simply by a block of butter! Which melted as the temperature rose."
