Please can you help me!! I've inherited an Accord XPC Alarm which has had all of the wires removed by previous occupants. We have had a friend engineer round to rewire it but it is now showing the following: We have bell symbol flashing, which we understand to be a Zone 9 tamper. We are not fitting an outside bell - What links do we need to put in to the bell terminal to clear the tamper code off of the keypad?? Engineer friend has fitted the alarm but is not familiar with this system - He is tearing his hair out! Many Thanks in advance Andrea

Hi folks, I am having an issue with my Galaxy G3 (proably due to zone programming). I have the exit time set very short 3 secs, this is so the alarm sets very quickly at night on partial with timed set (ie don't want to wake the kids up). The issue I have is when doing a full set to go out, I want the closing of the door contact on the front door to initiate the full set. I have programmed the front door zone as Final. I then do a full set with either pin or prox, with the front door contact open, the timer (3 secs) expires before the door shuts, when I shut the door the alarm sets but then immediately goes off. Reading the manual it would appear Final is the correc…

Currently have a gardtec 800 series which sends a signal to the security hut on a bell trigger (prodigi i think- not to hand at mo) Now have an extra building seperated from original building and without expense i was gonna pop in a galaxy i have lying about. This galaxy needs to also send signals to the security hut, i have a screened 4 core between the two (galxay and 800 series). If i were to programme an output from the galaxy as a bell and connect this to the trig on the pro digi aswell, would tht cause a conflict with the signal. im sure the signal would still be sent but the alternate panel recieving a signal back to the panel im not sure about. I know might be …

Hi folks, I am in the process of wiring in a Galaxy G3 and need to temporarily connect it to the old bell box, the old box is wired to the old panel with Bell+, Bell-, SCB 0, SCB RT, and STR -VE. I believe the SCB 0 and RT is the tamper circuit? If so do I wire this to the G3 Aux Tamp or do I wire it to a zone and set it to 24 Hours? I believe the STR -VE is a negative strobe signal, do I wire this to a G3 output and program it as Negative? I notice in the G3 manual that output 1002 is default strobe using an SPCO relay, should I use this? Then I am left with the Bell+ and Bell-, these seem to need a permant 12V else the siren sounds, do I just wire Bell- to 0V and Be…

I'm considering getting a Visonic PowerMax + but want to use a conventional wired sounder (Siren, Strobe, 12v supply to battery backup, anti-tamper) but the standard configuration uses a fully wireless sounder. I've read the PowerMax + installation guide, but I'm still not sure how I would connect a wired sounder. If the sounder connections are: Hold + Hold - Trg - Stb - Return How would I connect this to the PowerMax + and would it need any special programming? Does the PowerMax + have enough power to drive a typical wired sounder?

Im looking for a hybrid system (wireless and wired sensors) for DIY install that can be used with a hard wired external sounder. (I don't want to have to go up long ladders every year or so to replace the battery in the sounder box) Most of the wireless systems such as the Risco Wisdom and the Scantronic Homelink 75 can only be used with their own wireless sounders - I have checked with the technical support lines of these companies and they say that it may be possible to attach a conventional wired sounder but only with additional relay modules. Are there any good quality hybrid systems available where I can directly connect a conventional wired sounder without the co…

I've got a Scantronic 500r+ wireless system - problem is I can't change the Entry/Exit zone, but here's the build-up to why: - Entry/Exit is the front door with a magnet sensor, but door replaced (zone 1) - Took sensor off, found it wouldn't fit, so fitted to a scrap bit of wood. Tampers sounded whilst doing this etc but all reset OK i.e. control board and alarm is working fine - I'm trying to change the Entry/Exit route now to a different zone (zone 2)_so that I can do Full Set (as the sensor is now not on the front door) - I get into programming mode and do a '93' but the zone 1 LED lights up red and the tamper LED lights up red - Only lights on the control panel ar…

Wiring a PIR to a Scantronic 9651 I understand that every PIR (for example) needs 6 wires 2 - For Power 2 - For Tamper 2 - For the Sensor / Switch .....now I understand what to do with the tamper and power wires when they come back to the panel. What I'm not sure is - How do I wire the Switch/Sensor wires to the panel. As - looking at the panel - there are 3 screw holes for 2 zones? (CCT1 and CCT2) I would have thought that each sesnor or contact would have it's own 2 screw holes or zone? I know I'm missing something here - lol So if someone could just explain how I wire these cables that would be great! Thanks! Sample pic of a PIR:

Hi all, A couple of weekends ago I purchased a powermax plus alarm. This weekend I tried fitting it. I have correctly enrolled everything & know where everything is going. Moved plug sockets around to power it up. There are 2 things I can't do & I think I need to get someone to finish the job!!! Does anyone know a reputable company in the Essex area that can finish off the installation? All I need them to do really is: 1. Connect the powermax to the telephone line (had advice from redbull, still got no clue) 2. Try to get rid of the SO1 tamper alarm error on the siren (Its driving me crazy) I would have loved to complete the job myself, but it

I'm looking for a "professional grade" wireless alarm for DIY install but it appears after looking through the comments in this forum and searching the manufacturers web sites that some manufacturers only supply full installation manuals to trade installers. As a don't want to buy a new system and end up with just the user guide, can anybody advise which manufacturers will supply full installation guides for DIY installers. Yes I've read your advice about getting professional installation and how set-up is not that easy, but I'm willing to take that chance so long as I can get hold of full installation guide/manual. Any comments on the Scantronic Homelink 75 would also…
