Some more advice please

I would like to know how and where shall I mount the contact on this Up and Over Electric Garage door please?

....The black part of the door is fibre glass I believe - Not to sure if I put a scew into it?

Use a heavy duty contact at the bottom. Nut and bolt thru base of door with threadloc on them for the magnet and directly into the base structure for the reed swich.

If it's at the bottom - Surely it's got more chance of being trampled on or damaged over time right?

Personally I'd fit it adj to the locking mechanism (guess at top from your piccy). Less wobbly there, less false alarms

damage is not likely they are strong enough to drive over
