February 20, 200917 yr comment_225553 Ok, so if i fit a .5 farad capacitor inline, which cable do i add it to ?Strobe -, 0v, 12v, Hold off +, Hold off- ???? Please help as it is starting to bug me. As when i leave the house its nice to see the confirmation strobe to confirm everything is set. My personal view is that this idea is doomed to fail but if you want to try connect it across strobe 12 volts and strobe 0v. If you use an electrolytic capacitor make sure you get it the right way around, my fear is that any capacitor big enough to susttain enough charge to extend the duration of the strobe will draw so much charging current that it will blow a fuse. Why not a flashing LED by the door via an output, or even just wait for the setting tone. Reprogramme for Final door set rather than timed, saves you rushing out then as well.
