Okay, like I guess all AM users I have a real love hate relationship with mine! My situation is that I could really do with a part timer in the office to keep track of the CM/PM dockets etc .BUT in the back of my head I have a niggling thought that AM Mobile may save me some admin time, enough to not need a second pair of hands... So Question is.... Does anyone else use it? - General thoughts about it please? Do you think you recoup the deployment cost in saved time? Has anyone managed to customise the dockets, the basic AM ones are a bit basic looking? (examples welcome!) Windows, Android or Iphone, which do you think is the best platform to use it on? No doubt…

Hello, I been reading through the forum and I think this be ideal place for you guys to give some Sales Techniques which you learned. As you may know I am a Engineer for a National Security Company which is not A*T but I did start with them. Even as a Engineer we are given Sales & Service training as 99% of upsell is when we talk to customer about a extra product or service which customer then calls up and asks for and we get to do quotes when were installing alarms or etc at neighbours which is always good or when we install we place Door Handle Leaflets telling them about their new security feature in the street. So I know many of you are smaller com…

Hi Everyone, Would be great to get a cross section of views on this one... We installed a system for a client over 12 months ago. In that time they have not chosen to take out a maintenance contract. One of the parts failed but fortunately they are still covered under warranty and so the manufacturer replaced it. However by the time the issue was diagnosed and resolved, many hours passed and cost of labour became substantial. I am positive our client will be happy to pay for our expertise / time. Having a been a client myself, I was wondering whether or not I would be "happy" to pay, since the problem was down to faulty equipment not necessarily neglect (and even i…

So this is a really good question to anybody starting up or currently in business. How much do you value your customers? I got asked this at a recent company Customer Service Training. Other small things our company does with customers is stuff like. Day before new install they get a call from somebody in call centre to say 'Welcome to XXX Security Company, I hear X is coming out to install this job for you. Do you have any questions or special requests you like the Engineer to show you?' + After Install happens they get a call asking them how everything went and etc. Which is basically feedback. On the day of install the customer also gets F…

I am after a piece of software (rather than using a spreadsheet) to track and control stock. Free too preferably. Is there anything out there? I am not talking scanning barcodes or item numbers or anything, just something I can input equipment and quantity, and then once each piece of equipment reaches a certain quantity level, I would get notifications to order more. Am I asking too much and possibly being lazy?

Hi all, I know there is already a thread about this, but its really old!! I need some sort of office management software, kept seeing download links for AlarmPro but none of them work anymore! Needs to be cheap (or free) but suitable for a small company to manage service, contracts, customers etc. We use Quickbooks, so if it links to that ~ marvelous!!

Afternoon Guys, Finally decided SSAIB is the board that we are going to go with and have filled out the paper work and got the cheque ready to go off in the post tonight. We have a few old customers and new customers that are willing for us to use them as examples of work past and present that we will be starting over the next few months. I have NCR pads made up for our CCTV side but I wanted to ask as I have had a look around but is there a standard NCR form for alarm installs/maintaince visits/emergency visits that we can get from somewhere or can someone share there one with me and just change the logo and contact details. I just wanted to get a few things in place…
