Hi I was wondering what size outside extension ladder most people use, I see many installers using 2.5 metre ones, some use 3.0 metre. Do you feel that 2.5 is ok for most houses? I need to buy some and if I buy 3.0 ones they will have to go on the roof, which means more noise and lower fuel economy. Does the extra 1/2 metre really make much difference? dudes

I have been involved with CCTV installation companies for the last two years or so. Along with my best friend, who is in his early 20s, we now have the opportunity to set our own business up but I am feeling apprehensive about whether to commit. A while back we worked together in finding a highly reliable and cheap supplier for our cctv cameras and dvrs. We found a direct supplier from China for our materials, and even after tax we were saving the company approximately 80-84% on prices (compared to the lowest prices the firm could obtain in this coun…

Hi my name is Phil I have been in the security alarm busness for about 15 years 11 months ago I went self employed and opened a company (me only ha ha) called Code 1 security. I have picked up aprox 400 customers. I am now finding it hard to manage them with booking in jobs and invoicing. I have looked at software like winsims and Alarm master but I don't have the funds for these and even if I did I feel they are far to expensive. Can anyone help me by telling me if there is any other software I could use that is easy to use and won't break the bank?

Could anyone give me a bit of technical advice please. I would like to relocate the remote keypad for my gardtec alarm system. How do I disarm the system completely? Is it simply a case of entering the engineers code, then remove the aux fuse from the main panel? After doing this, am I free to disconnect the remote keypad and relocate it? Thanks for any advice/tips.
