Hello, Customers insurance company contacted me requesting a 'specification' for a recent intruder alarm installation. What exactly are they asking for? What sort of information do they need? Any advice on this would be much appriciated.

I cannot believe how slow this website is at processing your info to become a trade member. I was talking to one of the members on here and he said the site has gone downhill and im afraid im inclined to agree. Sorry if that has hurt any moderators feelings. i need to make a lead for a kentec panel on one end there is a 2 x 5 idc socket does anyone have the pin information for this i have searched everywhere and cant find it! need info asap i know the lead pin out just need the pin out for the 2 x 5 idc socket to let me make the lead up

Strange question really, but there is a few small industrial units behind where I live, and one seems to have false alarms every other night! It wouldn't be so bad, but the dam thing has a master blaster and whatever muppet installed it has set it to re-arm always. Who do I call regarding noise pollution,I have ignored this for long enough! Mny thanks.

can anyone tell me when it was decided that an alarm engineer cannot fit a bell box off a ladder? i was working on a building site the other day, having fitted maybe 25 systems on the same site already, when mr H&S makes me get down off my ladder and tells me i cant fit the bell box as i have to take both hands off my ladder? has the world gone completely, totally and utterly mad?

Hi everyone. Just Thought I would say this site is great, and everyone seems really down to earth. I have recently got away from the intruder/fire alarm side of things (You know how it is, CALLOUT after 10 years doing my head in ) and decided to specialise in C.C.T.V. Although I know a lot about C.C.T.V. it doesn't hurt to know more right! I would just appreciate advise on were to look or find self learning material. for the help.

Hi Could anyone help me. I use Karizma+ panels and old type ID chips in my temporary site alarm business. I've finally run out of ID biscuits and have a few faulty panels that need replacing but ADE/Honeywell are no longer manufacturing either. Does anyone have any new or used panels/ID chips that they would sell on ? Thanks in anticipation. Chazeroo

Hi, hope there is someone out there that can help..................i was doing some electrical work at home and had to switch the main supply off. The alarm system obviously displayed mains fault,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, But Im now getting message on the keypad disply nd-NO PANEL DATA,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and now it wont take any comands.... is there somw way I can reset this??????
