this was received in an email. i'm no medic and don't know the true validity but is food for thought before you swig from your next can of beer or soda. the victim went fishing, prior to the trip she loaded the boat fridge with some cans of cola, became very ill on the 1st day died days later, The autopsy concluded she died of Leptospirosis. This was traced to the can of cola she drank from without using a glass. Tests showed that the can was infected by dried rat urine and hence the disease Leptospirosis. Rat urine contains toxic and deathly substances. It is highly recommended to thoroughly wash the upper part of soda cans before drinking out of them. The cans are …

Last friday, some muppet drives into the back of my van. Off sick on doctors orders for a week with whiplash injuries. Back to work today only to be pulled into the office at 4.50pm to be told that my employment was terminated as there wasn't enough work. Anyone know of any jobs going in Northern Ireland for an install/service engineer?

Hi folks, There have been many comments about the link between alarm systems and insurance policies/premiums. I've just received my home (contents) insurance renewal from Direct Line and it says: "If you have a professionally installed and maintained alarm.....7.5% discount (bells only)... 12.5% (police response)....telephone for more details." They also offer "discounts of up to 40%" on an alarm installation - again phone for details, anyone know who they use? There are no specific conditions relating to the use of the alarm, but there is the standard all-encompassing "take all reasonable steps to prevent any loss....".
