  2. Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I have a 9751 panel and a 9941 keypad, i have all the access/engineer codes and the system is fully operational. The issue i am having is the following, i am trying to configure my zones into the relevant level sets. As a default when i set a zone to Normal Alarm it will display thats its active in partial sets B and C, this is where the issue is. The system won't allow me to remove or add these partial sets from my zone, the engineers guide says whilst setting the zone attribute you key in the zone, then the zone type, then press A, B, C or D to configure the sets. If you press any of the A, B, C, or D buttons you jus…

We have just had a Risco Agility 3 system installed in our house in Bangkok. The control panel is installed in a bedroom upstairs and a Two Way LCD Keypad is installed in the downstairs hallway next to the front door. I am surprised that the Keypad does not indicate that the system has been armed. We would find it helpful to see a glowing or flashing LED on the keypad to show that the system has been armed. The Keypad does have three LEDs as well as the LCD display. You can check the system status by pressing the #? key but I would rather have some visual sign. Our installers said that this is not an option. I have emailed Risco support so they may get bac…

Im looking to install a four camera external system on my house, looking for a good quality 28 day DVR with monitor, a couple of questions where is the best place to locate the DVR for cable routes and the best position for the cameras to avoid lifting any floors for cable routing, is it possible to mount the camera at high level near the roof and route the cables out of the loft without drilling.

  6. Hi all, Newbie looking for some assistance and feedback please Just had my second floor 2 Bed flat refurbished and upgrading my alarm system in the process. New cables have been installed. Trying to install the system and save a few pennies whilst gaining some knowledge for future projects. It’s just a basic system, 1 door contact and 2 PIR’s. The hardware : Honeywell Accenta Mini G4 with LCD remote keypad TEXECOM Odyssey external bell box 1 x front door contact 2 x PIR’s (Hall and kitchen) I am not concerned with Tampers being a domestic property on the second floor so I have not connected any of the Tampers on both the PIR’s and door cont…

Hi, I'm after some advice, having looked at the Menvier SD3 which i have been told is compatible with the 9751, i'd like to ask if others have could recommend anything else? The SD3 is obviously a decent piece of kit but its got a hefty price tag to boot. I'm only after something to send out a text message on activation, i don't really need to talk to any would be burglars via the phone! thanks Simon

Hi After installing Premier Elite 24-W I'd like to add a txt message sender. Ideally Speech and txt which requires a CGC-0001 but really speech is nice but to be sure the message gets through I'm thinking txt is better. This is just to call a friend who will be key holder when I'm on holiday and it could dial his mobile but if no answer and its answered by voicemail will the message be lost due to normal answer message and speak after tone ......i.e will speech just start straight after answer and could fail to be recorded by voicemail? Hence I'm thinking txt is better and just send to mobile. That said how does this work and if txt is all I'm after will t…

hi does anyone know of anywhere that may still have these keypads.we have moved into a house that has a system using these but 2 of the 3 fitted have broken fronts .all else is fine many thanks

  11. So I'm planning on doing a proper alarm install shortly, but as a first step want to get two bell boxes up at the front and rear of the house. Since the Reson8 uses an active low (0v) signal for bell and strobe triggers, am I right in thinking that it has on-board pull-ups that mean I can have the bell powered via its + and - hold off supply, but with nothing connected to the bell and strobe triggers? I've tested this on the workbench and it appears to give me a fully functioning bell box with tamper protection and the bell triggered from its NiCad if the power's removed. But I don't want to suffer from any spontaneous triggering once they're up on the wall, just…

  12. Does anyone have any information on the integration of the i-On range into home automation systems, preferably Crestron? I am not a DIY installer but am a Crestron programmer but am told that there is no protocol document available, without which an integration module can't be written. Such a document must exist for the (terrible) web interface to be written. It's the year 2014, customers want their security systems integrating with lighting systems and IP cameras...... If anyone has any thoughts or information on this, I am all ears! Marc

I've already utilised the four wired outputs on the main board but need some additional outputs to connect to a centralised lighting system. The iON40 has 14 transistorised outputs, two of which are on the main board. However the other 12 appear to be on the plug by comms interface. There are two connectors for this, one with 12 pins and one with 4 pins. The 12 pin connector has labels for O/P 1-8 and the 4 pin connector has labels for O/P 10-13. I have a couple of queries on using theses outputs and hope someone can help. Where is output 9 as it is not listed? There is a 0v pin on the main connector. If I utilise one of the outputs and the 0v pin will this provide me …

  14. Hi, I have a couple of questions in relation to a Galaxy 16+ which I cannot find using the search tool. (perhaps as I am not sure of the exact terminology to use!) I wondered if someone might be kind enough to confirm a couple of things for me. Experience to date: So far over time I have installed three different alarm systems at home and for a mate in his shed. So I have some experience of the very basics of installing an alarm and programming it and getting it to work fault free. JSB Firedex fire alarm Honeywell Accenta Mini Gen4 Scantronic 9100 So given this I thought I would progress to a Galaxy 16+ for the garage. I got a panel and keypad from THAT auctio…
