Hello, After getting such a quick helpful response to my last question I thought I'd try another.... I have a Honeywell Keyprox mk7 connected to a Galaxy G2-20 panel, the keyprox is working well for programming, setting and unsetting etc. As far as I can tell the display back light is always on, does anybody know if can be configured to automatically switch off when the alarm is dormant? Or are there any other ways the back light can be configured/controlled? Thanks in advance, Martin

Hi, I'm currently in the process of installing a Honeywell Galaxy G2-20, I've configured a few users one of which I now need to delete. Using the master code I can edit users without a problem I just can't figure out how to delete them, does anybody know how this is done? Thanks in advance.

Hello All, I wonder if someone can help me please? I installed a Honeywell 8 Zone alarm and for the last 3 months it has worked perfectly. There have been no problems whatsoever. However, on Friday when trying to set it when I was going out, it told me that there was a problem with the Hallway PIR, I cannot remember the exact fault code or what it said. It now seems to be working okay again! I have noticed though that there are two indicator lights on the PIN setting module, Green to show it is not set and a Red indicator showing a plug icon . . . I cannot remember if this has always been like this or the red light has only just come on since the faul…

Hi I got the above scantronic 4600 and want to connect it to the Ag6 their are lots of terminals on the panel and not sure what wire goes where. Can someone guide me in wiring this gear? Its for my shed and so just want a deterent thanks

HI new to this forum and hope you can help me .Had to move my dads alarm key pad today as it was in the way so after just cutting the wire to key pad i have caused a problem. When i connected it all back up the alarm will not switch off.It had blown the fuse in the main panel and the only light on the key pad is the mains one no day no tamper. i put in the number but nothing happens .any ideas would be brill. I have 2 Honewell AG6 sounders to wire up to a optima compact panel The problem is that the wire for one of the bell boxes is built into the wall, and is only 4 core and cannot be replace with 6 core because of the fabric of the building the original wire was plastered into the walls from the first floor to the control panel. Can I wire up the two bell boxes to work together using 4 core for one and 5 core for the other.. Also how can I power " 12volt sound bombs" loud sounders fitted inside the house from the optima panel these sounders have no electronics just 12 v to sound them. I was hoping someone might be able to pass comment on my ideas for my home alarm system. The house is currently a shell, so the perfect time to put a system in. I think I have the sensors in the correct locations but still not sure one or two of them. We have 2 cats who when we are not in the house will only be in the downstairs bathroom so for that room not sure weather to go for a pet PIR or just shock sensors on the windows or both. The only entry and exit area I was planning on was the front door but may change later if I get the IP module and use the phone app which would allow me to exit via the garage and then set. Hi all, I'm an electrician and so new and green to CCTV. My boss has recently had his farmhouse broken into so has purchased some CCTV gear which we have installed. I've installed a 16 Channel Alien Hero DVR with 1TB hard drive, and 11 analogue IR dome cameras. Its all worked really well, but when i connect the video out on the DVR to the CCTV monitor using a BNC cable, the monitor shows 'No Input'. I know the cable is good, and it's not the monitor, both which work well with another DVR at our business premises. When i connect a VGA cable between the DVR and monitor its all singing and dancing. Hi, I have an I-on40 and have successfully updated the boot loader and firmware to Version 4.04.14 The system has reset everything to defaults and I want to log on using my laptop as the 'Installer' but I get the error: ERROR: INSTALLER ACCESS DISABLED I can enter the 'Installer' mode using the keypad, but want to upload my old settings that are saved on my laptop. How do I enable Installer access over the network? Many thanks

Hi. We are a school with a new access control system (installers are no longer available to support). The system is based on 'exGuard Pro' and has a very swish management front end and several readers placed around the building. We have a reader on the desk to read cards into the system for users - this reads each card with a unique 8 digit decimal number. The readers on the doors however will see any card (registered or not) as being the first card registered onto the system. The cards are MiFare 1k and work fine on other systems. What am I doing wrong?

I am wanting to install a magnetic door sensor for a cupboard which is constantly monitored whether the alarm is set or unset. Ideally with a hidden switch for when I want access; understand this can be done with the zone in PA or fire mode but would it be possible to install a 3-terminal rocker switch in this or would it cause an activation when the switch was flicked? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hi. Hoping for a bit of advice on a very oddly behaving alarm system. Castel Care Tech 1700 panel with two keypads and a Texecom Oydessy 1E sounder. All was working well, no faults, battery replaced a couple of years ago and has good life. Recently, we had a roughly 36-hour long power cut, during which the power blinked off and on briefly a few times. At the end of day 1, came home to the sounder running on it's own internal battery, with the panel itself dead and still no mains power. As a stopgap to allow everyone to get some sleep, the panel was opened, a different (car) battery hooked onto the panel, and the alarm silenced once the panel came on. Once…
