Fitted a new Visonic Powermaxcomplete to my house. Going through setting it up and have the status message S01 Tamper Open Error, relating I assume to the outside wireless siren, so unable to arm the system. Troubleshooting on the alarm manual states, "most likely the back tamper. Down power the siren and remove it from the wall, then adjust the screw on the back to extend the tamper alarm" Only screw on the back is the one that goes through the centre hole of the backplate for fixing, but notice that there is a gold coloured foil under the pcb near to this hole. Does the fixing screw pull the foil away from under the pcb or does it have to touch the pcb? Other two…

Hi I have recently moved into rental accommodation on a 6-month lease. There is an alarm system in place but which is not (according to the letting agent) working. I downloaded the user guide for it, reset it to factory, added a new user PIN, and attempted to arm it. Not surprisingly, things didn't go according to plan, and I have 1 of the 4 zones showing an error when trying to arm the system. After setting the system to chime, I have identified the problematic zone. What I have is a PIR which reacts (red tell-tale light comes on) but does not chime (all the other sensors chime). I have two questions: 1 - does this indicate a problem with the sen…

Hi, My Bellbox (circa 1993) works fine, though I've not tested the SAB Module for longer than I can remember. Bearing in mind it's 20+ years old, the (Nicad?) battery on the SAB ( a standalone PCB) is likely to have had it (or certainly long past it's best!). My question is: are such Modules still available, or are they all integrated into complete bell box assemblies nowadays? I've tried a Google search, but without success. Many thanks. Brian

Hi I have a Eurosec V40 Dualtech Quad PIR covering a detached garage measuring 8m x 8m. It's been working fine for a few years apart from the occasional 'jumbo moth' false alarm, but It's now died and I need to replace it. I see it's been discontinued so I'm looking for a recommendation for a different model. Performance and reliability are more important than the cost. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks Mark

Hi all, I was hoping someone would be kind enough to help me with a small issue I am experiencing. I have recently installed and configured a new Honeywell G2-44+ alarm within my property and all is working well apart from the fact I have been unable to configure the backlight on the keypads. Currently the keypads (Mk7 RKPs) all have their backlight set to permanently on. I would like to be able to set the backlight to only come on in the event of a button press or other event such as entry/exit/alarm. I believe you are able to configure the backlight using "Menu 58" on the Galaxy range, however this menu option doesn't appear to exist for me. Any help wit…

Hello, I'm suppot for Texecom for Bulgaria. Many of our clients wants to controling their alarm system in Web browser. We use IP Com module of Texecom with Wintex and works great, but Wintex is not customer oriented software and it is not easy for everyone to use it. For installers is perfect but most of clients needs a simple way (the mobile app are also good). Can you help me with Web browser solution?

Hello, I have been testing a newly installed by me 9651en. I am writing a quick reference guide for it. I have a question about unsetting it, when I enter from a Final Exit zone (entry timer starts) and let the timer expire or go on and trigger a Normal Alarm Zone the alarm goes off. When I enter the code at the keypad it asks if you want to unset so you have to press tick, if you don't it stays set. Why does it ask you this? I would think if you start the entry timer you would want to unset it as normal? Is there a setting to change this? Thankyou :'> djrock

Hi, I have a problem with a Scantronic 9448ES, in that the Mains LED on the 9427 panel is flashing, otherwise the alarm seems to work perfectly, I've opened the control box and factory reset it so I have the engineers code. The PCB Shows 20v AC input from the transformer and 10.8v DC out to the battery (Which is brand new) I've removed the PCB and de-soldered the voltage regulator and replaced it with a new one as that seemed the most likely suspect. However I'm still getting the flickering mains LED on the 9427 keypad. (If it makes any difference working off the manual, the wiring connections on the PCB actually match those shown for the 9448+ an…

Hi there, X years ago, when I built my house, I installed an Accenta G4 alarm with external bell box. All is working as it should. Unfortunately, I never gave a thought to an internal sounder (Sound Bomb?) and would like to add one (or two.) The main one would be right next to the control panel so wiring is not an issue, but of the output terminals on the PCB, which are for an internal sounder? The manual says that I can add an extension speaker to emulate entry /exit / warning tones, but that is not want I want. I want to blow the intruders' ear drums if he/she activates the alarm! It would be good if I could add another sound bomb to the first floor, but…
