Exguard System Reads All Cards As Same Number

Featured Replies

Hi. We are a school with a new access control system (installers are no longer available to support). The system is based on 'exGuard Pro' and has a very swish management front end and several readers placed around the building. We have a reader on the desk to read cards into the system for users - this reads each card with a unique 8 digit decimal number. The readers on the doors however will see any card (registered or not) as being the first card registered onto the system. The cards are MiFare 1k and work fine on other systems. What am I doing wrong?

First to ask is:

Has anyone been playing with the system?

I'm suspecting someone has.

It's not the most user friendly software - and depending on which panels fitted, you may well need an engineer out sooner rather than later.

If i was you i'd ring TDSi in Poole and ask them for guidance and to put you in touch with a couple of dealers in your area.

Thank you. I suspect you're right! The system was installed by a firm who are no longer around and for various reasons, not too keen to support either. I will give TDSI a call

Swap it for a Paxton
