So today I get a call, somebody with a fault on their alarm system open circuit on zone. It's not one of my systems and they have no contract with anyone else. So gave then a price for a call out which they accepted and said parts would be extra. when I arrived found pir stuck permanently open changed it tested system all okay. Gave them the bill plus detector which I charged £15 for. Then they started trying to haggle saying the call out they had had before was only £30 including parts. Anyway I didn't budge and they paid. My point is I didn't charge a huge amount and was probably cheaper than most, I was actually quite offended as i always charge a decent price. I…

Well phoned up today just for a bit of info on the domes and there are no corner brackets available for them or any other brackets. Thank god I was only enquiring as sticking to redivision. I was told I could use their normal brackets with a bit of drilling it would fit..... But it's the wrong colour with the dome. Seriously they expect that?

Hi I think this is relevant. My alarm was beeping every 10 minutes or so. I assumed it needed a new battery. I changed the battery on my accenta g3 as it was 5 years old. However it is still beeping whenever it is not in engineers mode. I thought I had to reset the service timer and so pressed 730 reset reset from engineers mode. However this has not worked. Any ideas anyone? Ring any bell if you excuse the pun. Dominic

What would the rest do in this situation: Panel changed by subby 5/6 days ago. Client triggers it accidently and it goes confirm, no probs, cancels within seconds. They go to reset it at 2am but cant. Ring our engineer, its not set up for RR so we had to attend. Subby did not programme the RR

Testing a Samsung SCP-2370 ir dome today, connected to DM DS2 (NetVu unit) Can access the menus and programme presets, groups and tours ok Can select presets ok but cannot select a group or tour from the dm keyboard, anyone know what key/command it is?

Hi all, i have a veritas 8 compact installed proffesionally by the previous owner,we have had the house at least 5 years .it works fine, apart from when the alarm is active, it sometimes goes off .i check the pirs thats activated to no avail, it will probably do the same thing a couple of weeks later but this time it will be different pir's can any one help please.ive checked the sensors for spiders etc sometimes when we have been out when its done it i usually presume its cats or somthing? when its happened when we are a sleep i usually come down stairs expecting the worst i check things out where its activated again no clues. i then usually re set it and go back…

Just had my new van half wrapped. Notices some additional stanley knife cuts along the trimmings. Spoke to the fitters who admitted thats how its done, stick it on and trim after. Dosn't seem right adding some not so nice slits onto a new van, and it is through the paintwork. Anybody else had any dealing with this?

Hi All, It's been a long time since ive been on here & probley 5 companys later lol On a c/o to a site just now can get into default user on Intellex but no admin or installer ! crashing the settings is an option as not much on here but need to get into the network settings as no dial in or out The joys of take overs.........
