Hi All, We have had an Accenta G4 alarm fitted for 5 years. It has been fine until recently, however the keypad now appears to have failed. There are PIRS sensors, a door sensor and an alarm box with LEDs/siren. On the keypad, the 2 LED lights are not illuminated. The keypad does not work and there are no digits/text shown on the keypad LCD panel. I have had a detailed look around the forum for answers to my question and tried all of the troubleshooting answers:- 1. I have changed the battery; 2. I have changed the alarm box fuses; 3. I have bought and installed a new keypad. …

Hello! The alarm that we have inherited comes up with a +BAT MIS 0001 error code, which won't let us set the alarm. All worked fine for the last 3 years, I've recently replaced the batteries on each of the 4 wireless points after one of them had died. The info I've managed to get on this is as follows: --- CPO38 Honeywell Grade 3 Class II -- Galaxy 2-12 Version 1.44 -- ADT ED8 - 7300 PC+ABSFR Hope someone could tell me what the error code means (tried googling without luck)... I've seen some posts refer to the 12V battery, which I assume is the block on the wall opposite the keypad, could it be that it is on its way? Many Thanks!

First post so hoping you can help out. I’m swapping out an old Honeywell alarm with an elite 24. The alarm has 9 shock sensors among other sensors. The shocks have been daisy chain wired in a group of 5 and a group of 4 using 6 core cable. My intention is to spilt the 5 into a group off 3 on one zone and 2 on the other and likewise for the group of 4. I have taken blue out of the zone terminal and connected to EOL carried the yellow through to the 2nd sensor and connected to EOL and then linked the remaining 2 EOL terminals See diagram. I have selected 4k7 on the first impaq for Alarm and 4K7 Alarm and 2K2 tamper on the second impaq with this configuration the zone shows …

Got a Gardtec 595 panel linked to the Risco wireless module. Two of the wireless shock sensors are triggering false tamper alarms and is now occurring at least twice a day. Have tried changing the sensor battery but still the same. Any othe ideas to fix? Alternatively I could just get rid of them but I can’t figure out how to unconnected them from the wireless receiver, anyone know how this is done. I tried simply taking batteries out but that didn’t help

Hi - have had this system installed for a long time and has worked fine until a few weeks ago when all Follow Me has stopped. App notification comes through but SMS or voice [GSM module] no longer works and won't work in test mode either. SIM card is fine as app notifications work. This is driving me nuts. Any ideas????

Having tired of ADT's lack of customer service and increasing charges I cancelled my contract and have installed a wireless system. I would like to make use the Accord bell/strobe but only have 5V available at unknown current from my new alarm. My idea is to use the 5 volt alarm signal to trigger a relay, how do I wire the Accord side of the relay? I assume it is 12V and I have a couple of spare 12V 1Amp power supplies. Many thanks

Hi I am hoping someone can help me. When completing commissioning paperwork it asks for PSU current in alarm and normal. Now I've heard multiple ways of obtaining the current readings, can anyone point me in the right direction. The ways of obtaining these readings are as follows.... - Step down side of transformer in series with PCB (however this obviously gives a DC reading) - Take current readings for all devices then add these together (however this doesn't take into account the draw of the panel) - Use battery current readings (however there is a separate section on the paperwork for battery current) Now ACT meters state that this sh…

Hello there, I installed a plastic Premier Elite 24 a few years ago. It has V2.11 Firmware on it from new. I've purchased a Smartcom for it and connected it up. Sadly it doesn't come up as an option on the menu when trying to program it in. I'm guessing the firmware doesn't support this. Is it possible to upgrade the Firmware to a later one in order to make it work or do I need to get a new control panel? Many thanks for any help.

We have a Gardtec 800 series installed over 20 years ago. We have 2 areas defined such that at night time we input 'code' + 1 which excludes the landing, + 2 excludes the landing and office We now have a dog and would like to do 'code' + 3 to exclude the kitchen We know the kitchen is zone 2, so would like to create and area code of 3 equal to everything except zone 2 (We know we can alarm the house as required by excluding zone 2, but this is a tiny bit more complicated) our manual says areas need to be set up by the installation company thanks

We had a decorator in today and he must have knocked against our alarm and we now cannot set the alarm or get the tamper light off. We have tried putting our code in several times (normally if we put our code in 3 times it resets the alarm) unfortunately we cannot find the manual - can anyone help please as we live in an area where we really need an alarm

Hi guys, Grade 3 question. I’ve only ever done 1 grade 3 system and I’m now questioning if we over done it. It was at least 7 years ago but I remember all cables were in tube and all JB’s were tampered. All DT’s had anti masking too. I was questioned on grade 3 today and was told I was wrong about the containment and JB’s, am I? I don’t see why we would have done this if it wasn’t required, it was a right pain. Anyone have a link to grade 3 requirements? Have they changed over the years? Other option is that I’m just plain wrong.
