Hi I have an alarm system a Abacus 6/14 with an additional Bosch RF3249E which interfaces with the wireless PIR and impact sensors. I'm aware that this setup now is over 10 years old and as a unit need relocating I'm debating whether I should upgrade the alarm unit. Can anyone suggest a appropriate alarm unit to change this for. The keypad and alarm sounders all wired but PIR's and impact sensors are wireless so be good if we could keep the infrastructure and use the wireless equipment.

Hi, new to the forum. I’ve got an oldish infinite prime alarm system in the house and I’m looking to remove it and replace with a new system. All the motion and door sensors are wireless and I’m assuming the external siren is too. I have a disarmed system trouble message and the control panel which says comm trouble external siren. It doesn’t sound if we trigger it but it says it’s ok if I search the transmitter list. The reason I ask is, will it sound if i remove the Control panel completely? I plan to leave the siren up as a dummy. Thanks for any advice

Hi there. I'm totally new at this. The problem is I bought a wireless home burglar system from ebay some years ago and it became defective. I went ahead and bought what looked like a similar one but it wasn't and the new panel is not connecting with my old sensors. Both say they use 433mhz to work. My old sensors have a jumper block whereas the new ones don't. Anybody has any ideas how I can get the old sensors to work with the new panel?

I was thinking 1k across the white wires Zone common in to white wire other white wire to red other red to zone return with 1k Thanks for reading, hope it makes sense

Hi I have a Scantonic 9651 Aalrm which has a 9941 keypad. The date and time on the keypad started to show corruption on the display which got worse over time until it started to sound from the keypad. I reset the alrm which cleared the issue for a while but within a few weeks its starting to happen again. Any ideas, if its a faulty keypad or mainboard? Could be be something else )eg power damage? Thanks

Hi guys new here! I’m not clued up on alarms so I started googling for companies near me to come out and quote to upgrade my existing 8+ year old wired alarm system to something that I can control on my phone and for notifications to be sent to me too. We currently have a texecom veritas wired alarm so I would only need a new panel, keypad, proximity fobs and I need to add 1 wireless door contact for the rear door. One of the installers showed me the app for Lightsys2 and that is something I want as I can control which doors/areas I want to arm or disarm but, after abit of reading Risco have a bad rep on here so should I avoid lightsys2? Any other b…

Hi. Wondered if any one can help. I've installed a galaxy flex 20 with a internal mount rf board. When I try to come out of engineer mode I get aux tamp. I have linked the bell t to 0v and shorted out the panel tamper switch. Can't think of any other solutions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve moved into a new house that has a visonic 33 panel and remote keypad , key fobs tags and the app . I want to make my front & back doors chime . I know you can turn chime on & off at keypad using the No 8, but I’m assuming the relevant sensors need to be programmed. nb . I have been left with installer code as I assume I’ll need to enter that mode . I’ve looked on line at the installer manual , but would like some step by step IDIOT PROOF help so I don’t mess up the whole thing . thanking you in advance ??

A couple of nights ago we had a brief powercut and the alarm went off - internal and external bell I couldn't enter the reset code, as the keypad was not working properly - only second 2 columns of numbers were working - other buttons were unresponsive i.e. not beeping when you press them I tried to reset the system a few times by turning off the power but the alarm kept ringing, and I was still unable to input the reset code into the keypad Finally, i had no choice but to turn off the power to the control panel and the alarm went off shortly thereafter There was now no power to the keypad or seemingly the external bell All this happened at 2am, s…
