Hi All, I am wondering what other installers are finding with Galaxy panels. We find that out Galaxy tend to give us RIO tampers/hi-res on zones out of the blue. Signal lasts about 3 seconds. Then all is okay. Sites are relatively new. Less than 10 years old. Cables run segregated and 680ohm termination on data lines. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks,

I decided to upgrade my old Veritas alarm I installed several years ago for a new Texecom Premer elite so I can install some additional devices in the future I've installed the NEW controller, exterior siren and Remote keypad onto tested existing wiring, i've also installed two door contacts and two PIR's the issue I'm having once I powered it up and loaded the software as instructed, its saying there's system alerts then a rolling numbers of tamper faults from 001 through to 008, I've checked the obvious place for a fault on the exterior siren (for good measure I've adjusted the back plate screw and tamper screw on the internal cover all s…

Anyone with any idea. Firm 4.2 small drop out in gsm speech dialler - l/m obviously had 12+ applied bringing up no ats fault controlled through the speech dialler fault relay. Gsm speech dialler restored within a minute (checked the dialler log) Checked l/m terminal and confirmed no 12v+ performed engineer reset and ats fault won’t clear. double checked all com ports - no digi fitted. No dual comm fitted. Com one and two unused etc. speech dialler using digi outputs. My vistronic MCM 140 keypad has stopped working, when I try to put my code in to arm my system, it beeps and the led turns red after the third press of the digit keys, so cannot out my full code in. I have changed the battery but still no joy. Any assistance would be great

I seem to remember a while back I was doing a copy site using the keypad I know you can copy with the buttons from the dump box but can't remember the menu option anyone please know thanks

I have came across a common problem with risco lightsys 2 recently, dropping connection to the app.has anyone came across a similar situation ?

I am wanting to connect a volt free contact to my Hikvision NVR so that when the alarm is set I can trigger the input on the NVR to start alerts etc. I just cannot workout what OP3 is, if volt free I would have expected to see a ground terminal so I can connect to OP3 and ground and then this would act as a switch for the NVR.

Hello all, I wonder if anyone can assist. I've just installed one of the aforementioned alarms and have done this type before. The issue I'm having is programming. It will let me access engineer mode with #### then programme, but then its not behaving after that. Its a simple garden offcie install with only one PIR and one door contact. The ext siren is a Texecom Odyssey X-BE Grade 2, wired all per normal using 5 cores of the 6. Siren battery jumper activated and there is power to the circuit (light showing and alternating lights blinking slowly back and forth to indicate all well) Strobe, sounder both ok. …

I have a Veritas 8 alarm and it’s stopped working. My electric has been off for about 30mins and it seems it went to the back up battery maybe as none of the lights went off. I have tried to re-set it now the electric is back on, but it doesn’t matter what button I press nothing is working. Any idea what I need to do? Many thanks.

Hi I installed a optima G4 in place of existing faulty alarm. As it was only a basic system I upgraded the system by installing additional PIRs. The PIrs are honeywell Activ8 and have a internal built in resistance on the alarm contacts of 17 ohms giving approx 20 Ohms on the loop. Also I installed 2 PIrs in series for zone 2 to allow entry/exit inhibit for front door and side door, this doubling the loop to 39 Ohms. The manual does not mention zone resistance and the diagrams just show N/C contacts. Is there a max resistance on the input zones? Door entry and window contacts are just a few ohms wire resistance.

Good morning all, pleased to be here. I have a problem with my i-on 30 alarm system that may very well be self induced, I triggered an alarm by imputting too many digits, played around with the keypad and finally stopped it. Now I can set partial i.e. zone B but when I go for full set, zone A, I get a message saying "Exit Terminate" and the alarm will not set. Any thoughts before I have to pay for an engineer? all help appreciated.

We have asked a company to install an NVR and an outdoor security camera for our home. To watch it, we download the app DMSS. To watch it on the web, we use a website that starts with 192.... The installer gave us the password to login to that website and to log into the app on the phone. But he said we should not change the password. Is this unusual as it seems the installer will be able to watch the footage, too. Pls advise. Thank you

I have a Texecom veritas 8 alarm with an old outside bellbox/siren that needs replacing. I have a new Elmdene bellbox/siren with was manufactured in 2017. The question is. Is it compatable and easy enough to swop the bellboxes with the current wiring. I have a 5 wire system on the current Texecom/Veritas bellbox TRG - Blue HOLD+ Red HOLD- Black TAMP R White STR Green But need to wire to the Elmdene bellbox H+ H- TS TR FLT R- ST- ENG REM

Hi all, following a few garage break-ins on our estate lately, I decided to change to a Rio from a single zone so I can add a PIR. Everything went ok, the system detects the Rio, Rio set to slave via link 4, but I can only get one zone to work.All are set to intruder. zone 8 Roller shutter contact - works normally zone 7, PIR - Nothing zone 6, Door contact, Nothing I did have the Door Contact working on zone 2 at one time when I tested it before installing.
