Hello, Can anyone tell me whether the power supply to the ms1000 control panel is off a 3 pin standard adaptor or hard wired from the consumer unit? I understand the ms2000 and ms8000 are powered from a 3 pin adaptor. Hope you can help

Got a galaxy dimension that activates fine on all groups apart from one group...sounders assigned to that group don't activate but comms goes through fine. Had a look at all the group parameters and output programming but can't see anything out of the blue. Any suggestions? Thanks

Im a retired security systems engineer, decided not to get involved in alarm problems on our estate, but my neighbour had an engineer out from a security network to repair his alarm system after an alarm when not set. The engineer said that the battery needed replacing and did so. My neighbours had no codes, the engineer said that the engineer code was locked so the only way to get a user code was to ##REMOVED## which returned the master code and engineer code to default. The engineer code was locked by the previous company or a power cut?? he said So that's how it was left. Im not vey familiar with this panel, installed one years ago but have only tested them in my ti…

Hi guys, hope you’re all safe? I know this has been asked a thousand times and will probably get me some grief for asking again but hey ho. what are the regs for an intruder alarm and a fire system sharing a dualcom? I’m assuming a few things, it has to be fire rated point to point seems obvious but how can the alarm panel be fire rated? Surely that’s the week point? Like drilling a hole in a fire rated door or wall and not using fire stop etc.? Obviously it’s just easier to use two separate dualcom’s but then the cost goes way up. Anyway, hope this isn’t too annoying. Thanks in advance guys.

Hi Could someone enlighten me on the regs regarding the setting and unsetting of an alarm using a home control system such as Control 4 instead of the keypad of the alarm.

Following on from another thread. I use ifttt and my hkc 10270 with my drayton wiser heating system As it change the mode to away when fully armed i use a modified tr2 as my boiler is too old to support opentherm As the tr2 measures the (single room its located in) temp the boiler still modulates its power output rather than just on and off The wiser system then calls for heat by changing the boiler mode to 'comfort' from frost Plus im on LPG so any savings are magnified due to the fuel cost. Some rooms have more than 1 radiator. I prefer the accuracy of the room stats and will be getting at lease 1 more of these

Hi, I revived my ADEMCO ACCORD 8 system with a fuse as must have blown it when disconnected key pad some time ago. Everything seems to work fine. The x3 PIR flash red on movement. The key pad is powered and I know the engineer code and user code. Although when I enter user code + 1 it starts to beep then doesn’t stop. The zones 5,6,7 are red and omitted I believe. Not sure if I did a factory reset. When bringing the system back to life. I have the manual ....
