OK now I am completely confused Gardtec 595 panel set up with 2 areas. Tried to test setting ony area 1 (from memory this may be set to timed +E/E. The RKP has frozen again showing <<SET 1>> and no code(master, engineer... or any other) will get me out of it. Taking all power off and cycling power back on will get things back to normal but why is the panel freezing up all the time. I have a theory that because the full set for Area 1 is set up as timed + E/E and I didnt open and close the front door (E/E point) before the time had elapsed thats why its freezing up. Surely this shouldnt happen or have I found some crazy bug ih Gardtecs software!!! Am I go…

Hows it affecting you, here in the midlands we have been lucky and think we will miss it all together, the north looks badly hit mind. Are you preparing before you go out, ie plenty of fuel, charged mobile, blackets etc. If anyone has any pics it might help to upload them.

I have a Scantronic iON40 system. I also have a treatment plant on the property which has a volt free relay for providing indication of a fault. I would like to wire this relay into the alarm system so that if a fault is detected the alarm system can send me a signal or produce an alarm. Anyone any knowledge of how you would wire this? The relay has both N/O and N/C contacts available and my first thought was to simply wire this into one of the free wired zones. However I'm not sure this would work. Many Thanks.

Bonjour tout le monde, any of you using dynamic dns set up for remote access to dvr? I was wondering if you guys could recommend anyone and give me a quick summary of the procedure. We use a it company to do all our port forwarding at present but would obviously prefer to do it all ourselves and found a solution for domestic applications and their ever changing IP adress. customer has a accenta optima g3 panel + eurosec keypads. Visitors are being missed , because door bell push is being pushed and released as normal with bell / push and transformer(alarm chime wont operate). External door bell push has to be held down for 3 seconds before chime(2tones) in internal bell operates, can it be programmed to operate as soon as bell push pressed?. With the system disabled,opening ground floor doors operates chime(4tones)can that be disabled?. I looked through user and installer manuals , but didn't want to alter any other settings by mistake. Homeowner wont have original installer(electrical + alarm company)back due to constant problems …

A heads-up, via my accountant: HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) plans to target up to 50'000 small business to ensure their book-keeping is up to scratch, with fines of up to £3'000 if any problems are uncovered. This seems to contrast with a "light touch" approach which has been adopted towards small business in other areas, for example mistakes arising from the recent change in the standard rate of VAT. Why is it that things always go wrong you're in miles from home?!? We've been doing Remote Servicing of Galaxy G3's, Dimensions and G2's using the 'Frontshell' program for about the last year. All has been running smoothly until just recently. The last 3 G2 panels I have installed just will not connect to the Comm's Server program. The panels will normally connect for for the first time, identify themselves and send there current settings over as a 'virgin site'. However, these last 3 panels will call the PC, the modem will answer, (comm's Server shows 'Incoming Call') and the process 'Hangs' until one party ententually gives up. Hi All, I've recently installed an iON-40 panel and connected the panel to the house network using the onboard Ethernet connection. I can successfully access the login page but whatever combination of username and password I try I get 'an invalid username or password' error returned. I've tried both the Installer username and default passcode stated in the web user guide as well as the master username and code but again it returns an invalid username or password message. I've checked spelling, spaces and passwords but with no success. I even changed the codes through the panel but again no success in logging in. Have also tried two different laptops and two differen…
