hi all hope you are all well. do any of you no of a good remote switcher? the job im for a friend is installing 3 monitors around the building so each area can monitor the camaras in that area but it isn't a option to run loads of cables from the dvr's to the switcher. so im looking for a unit where i can install the switch in the rack mount unit with the dvr's and instill a remote keypad setup at the viewing desk what they can use to control the switch. any ideas guys?

  5. Hi folks, just reading through literature on the Honeywell DT7550A-UK dual technology detector - which states to mount the detector at exactly 2.3 metres in order to comply with TS50131-2-4.... would this only apply to a grade 3 install? Could the mounting height differ on a grade 2 install?

  9. Hello All, I'm in the process of setting up my own security installation company. I have read recent posts about the topic of bell box printing offered by most major product manufacturers. Although, having visited alot of the websites there seems to be no screen printing facilty actually advertised on there sites. I am keen to use the texecom range (either the odyssey 2 or 5), or possibly the CQR range (either the cequra or ultima). Have any of you fitted any of these and do they seem like good products?

first fixed a call center yesterday, fishing our expander feeds across an old mill thats been converted, however the data guy turned up today and said I have to remove my alarm cable from the box trunking the customer supplied between the two buildings because it will cause interference as quote "the pulses it generates will interfere with the server and destroy the broadband connection to the phone system" thoughts please.
