Hi, My mum has a Paragon Plus fitted at her home since 1994. My stepdad died a few months ago and she doesnt have the master code to reset the alarm when it goes off. Is there any way she can do a factory restore? Sorry for the vague detail but I'm a newbie here so any pointers would really help! I have the installation and user manuals but unfortunately my step dad didnt write the code anywhere on them! Thanks!

Hello All, Have any of you had any dealings with Lyntech equipment? Just heard about it from a new supplier in my home town. Looked at their web site, and their C.C.T.V kit seems a bit dated. They are still listing time lapse VCRs and switchers. Is their alarm kit any good? Regards, Mick

I recently did some decorating and caused one the PIRs to stop working. I repleced this PIR for a new one. When the panel is now in standby mode, non of the PIRs flash red, when motion is detected. Also when I try to set the alarm, all the lights for the zones on the panel flash red with a continiung sound -it does not let me switch-on the alarm for when leaving the premises. I have checked the wiring for the new PIR, can anyone help as to the cause of this fault? Rob

  10. Hi there, We are installing two EyeSpy247 External Camera's for a Human Rights Defender in London who's house has been ransacked a number of times because of his work at home - before he was run out of the country. The cameras are supposed to be easy to install but even after spending sometime on the phone to the support people we think thats its probably too complicated for a bit of a technophobe to install at our end. Is there anyone out there with experience of such installations? Regards, HRNGO

Just a bit of fun really. On the whole the service I get from the Redcare Help Desk is pretty good however I was talking to a colleague over the weekend and we got talking about BT in general. This reminded me of an experience I had a couple of years ago. I was called out to a premise on a wet and windy wednesday evening to a line break fault. Met the keyholder on site and set to work. No voltage on the 92a and no dial tone. So far, so good. After a look around the site it became evident that the overhead line from the pole to the building had been cut and was laying on the ground. I called the Help Desk to get a fault raised and in the background I could head what appe…

Hello, I joined the forum because I wanted to ask the community whether anyone had detail about the Lynx Touch system from Honeywell. The features and literature are impressive and I'm interested in getting one for an install in a new property, but as yet there seems to be no sign of it appearing in the UK. It's quite recently launched from what I've read, but an email enquiry to Honeywell has yet to produce anything. I'm guessing that importing would be a non-starter, because it'll be a 345Mhz rather than 868Mhz.. If anyone knows anything about it and if/when it's going to ship in a Euro guise, I'll be interested to hear. , Darren

Hi folks (again! Posted today already), I'm 'firing up' an Accord XPC panel in my shed, to which I want to connect an internal siren SAB, standard internal siren and two strobes... however, I'm worried about over loading the panel! According to the info, 250mA is available for bell output and 250 mA for strobe output. My problem is that in the panel, there are connections for the bell and strobe (SAB connections) but also, there is a trigger output... just wondering where you guys would connect the above mentioned items to, to ensure I'm not overloading one particular fuse? The SAB siren is rated at 260mA, the siren (bell) at 70 mA and the two strobes at (I think) 180 …
