Hello, I've got a Galaxy MK7 keypad giving a keypad tamper. The tamper switch on the rear of the keypad is not being adequately pressed down by the mounting plate and accompanying tamper peg. Does anyone have any advice on a short term solution for this issue? Regards, Jack

Are there particular issues to be aware of when doing a Texecom Elite firmware upgrade. For example the documentation says disconnect the power and reconnect it before starting. I assume this means both mains power and battery power? If so is there a chance that the internal or external sounders will go off?

Evening all, I just want to put this out to you guys and I'll really appreciate it if anyone can help me out on this but I've been looking after an old Shorrock security system and I really like it and I pretty much don't want to replace it as it's still going strong and yesterday when I done a bell box test I noticed the external siren didn't work anymore. The bell box is an old Shorrock 170 metal pentagon shaped bell box and there basically my favourite bell boxes. If any one has one for sale going cheap or is going to be replacing one can I please have it as I will not change my bell box to anything modern and a Shorrock 170 is what I prefer to use as I'd like to keep …

Hi All, I just fitted a trigger module A071-00-01 to my Flex. I activated it via option 51.50 and can now see the additional outputs in menu 53 (0001-0008). The issue I have found is that setting descriptor or control function returns the "Option Not Available" message from the panel. I was wondering if someone with a little more experience with the Flex could confirm if there's a way to set a descriptor & control function? It would be nice to be able to control those outputs through the GX App etc.

Considering getting ceiling mounted 360 (AM360 DT) sensors for fresh home install (keep walls clear for wardrobes, shelves etc). Any tips/advice on placement? Any reason why this would not be a good idea? (ie vs traditional wall mounted) There are windows / glass doors in most of the rooms. All rooms are ~2.4m tall. Getting cable to location is not an issue. Combined with premier elite 48 panel. Thanks in advance for your any assistance

What ho one and all, Some years ago, I installed a G4 Accenta Mini with LCD display for an elderly neighbour. It was not a problem as there was already existing wiring and I 'kinda' knew what I was doing because I had installed the same for myself. Until today, it has worked with no problems. However, this morning and about two hours later, while she was in the house and the alarm was not set, it activated. She turned it off both times with her code and then called me. Someone has asked me whether they can resolve this problem on their alarm themselves and what could be causing it. When they set their alarm, after around a minute, the alarm sounds and the the log shows the reason for the alarm to trigger as "KP1 Engnr".

I've just had a mail from Pyronix saying that Vodafone TAP is to switch OFF March 31st. Ie. end of the month. I think this only leaves the 50p per dial option for those still using TAP based notifications.

I have installed a Premier Elite 24 system and have programmed the zones as required, however I cannot get rid of the warning 'Panel Lid Tamper' on the system. The microswitch inside the control panel is closed (cover bolt is in place). If I remove the cover bolt I get 'Box Lid Tamper' in addition to the 'Panel Lid Tamper' which seems to be distinct. I can't find any reference to 'Panel Lid Tamper' in the PE Manual, although 'Box Lid Tamper' is referenced in the list of possible log events. I feel like I must be missing something here... if anyone can offer any advice I would be grateful. Thanks!

Hi, I decided to buy a speech dialler. Opted for the sd1 instead of the texecom. Anyways, Ive installed it, but can get it to carry out a test dial. Ive hardwired it to a BT point. 5 in the BT socket is white/blue and is connected to terminal A on the dialler. 2 in the BT socket is solid blue and is connected to terminal B on the dialler. Other connections are 12v, 0v, and the trigger input. Anyways i tried a test call and it is not dialling out. Ive recorded a message etc. I tried sending to user 1. But it doesnt ring the phone and then bipasses and starts playing the message through the loud speaker. I lifted the normal phone up while it was test dialling, an…

Hi, I've managed to set it up in so far as I can access the alarm through the iphone app whilst in the house. However, I'm stuck when trying to do a test call from the keypad. It just sits there saying things like "com300 idle", "resetting", etc. I've configured port forwarding, push notifications, etc, and have checked everything many times. However... The small instruction pamphlet that came with the ComWifi doesn't say anything about having to use a dynaminc DNS service, but I've just noticed that the main instructions that come with the panel does have a little section on it. My ISP, talktalk, uses dynaminc IP adresses. Is this going to be the reas…

Hi I'm hoping someone my have seen this before and could share some knowledge. I have an Elite 88, I would like to upgrade the firmware. Whenever the flasher cable is plugged into the programming port, both the heartbeat and Txt/Rxt leds do not illuminate on power up. The cable is plugged up correctly I believe, the red ident matching the arrow bottom left of the 10 pin header. Ribbon cable not faulty as no problems when connected without flasher pcb attached.
