Hi does anyone have any idea what a flashing from the panel indicates - main panel appears to have '86' showing and door panel constant changing of led that make up alphanumeric characters. Battery issue?

  3. Hi. First time posting and I have two questions I would like to ask First off, I need to replace a PIR in our home and would like to carry out the replacement myself. The problem is that I don't know exactly what alarm system I have (its at least 20yrs old) and would appreciate any help to identify it. I believe its a 800L as the circuit board layout looks exactly the same. I've attached a picture of my current board and would really appreciate it if someone could confirm if I'm correct. What I'm also not sure about is the function of the transformer in the bottom left and the switch below it. If anyone could give me a clue, again it would be appreciate…

  4. It looks like I´ve got an alarm panel battery problem because there have been a couple of power outages in the past few days resulting in alarm activation. Therefore, I was thinking, can I simply wire up a car battery instead of the low capacity battery that´s installed in the panel? Will there be any problems with the panel charging circuitry or is it essentially a straight swap, so to speak. I have a Honeywell Accenta Mini G4 panel. Cheers, Tom.

Hi all, Hope you're well? I'm in the engineer menu of my Enforcer with WiFi module. I have the HomeControl+ app installed on an iPhone and Android. I'm pressing the 'Test Communications' option but nothing is happening on either device... I am able to use the App as normal on both devices. One user is set up to receive Arm/Disarm notifications which seem to work fine. Does anyone have any idea what may be the problem? Thanks in advance

Hi, I know it's a long shot and a bit vague, but does anyone know how to wire in a klaxon master blaster to a texecom premier elite 12/24? the main part that i'm struggling with is which terminals to connect the wires to the panel, and how to program it to work. Someone said that I need to wire the positive into one of the digi outs!? Thank you in advance for your help

Hello all, hoping someone can help me out. I fitted a Honeywell G4 to my house when I had it to first fix an was easy enough everything's fine. My mother then decided she wanted the same as her old wickes alarm hasn't worked for years, changed batteries etc. So I started wiring the new sensors in and there is a single wire to each sensor, no daisy chaining of tamper or 12v lines. However in the control panel which is integrated into the main box there are only two 6 core cables coming in and there appears to be a single tamper wire and a single wire for each zone on one cable then the 12v, bell and aux speaker on a second wire, see picture below …

Hi guys need some help . Urgently . Recently had some work done in my house and the fuse spur for the alarm has been blowing every couple of day for passed week. This Pir I’ve noticed has gone red also so was wondering if this could be the problem cause all the others have blue lights. If this cable was broken it’s only 12volt anyway so didn’t think this could be the problem the fuse in the spur was 13amps also , thought it should of been a 3 or 5 amp . Didn’t take the MCB out just blew the fuse . . Can anyone help me out . Many thanks guys ,

  10. Hi all, I really could do with some help with my alarm system. 2 weeks ago, I purchased a 2 year old house with an ADT branded Visonic Powermax 10 system installed which has some faults preventing me from arming the system. K01 PROX KEYPAD - TAMPER ALARM K02 MOTION SENSOR - TAMPER OPEN K04 TAMPER OPEN I have no idea how to reset these and ADT want £240 per half hour to look at this alarm, which I can't afford just before Christmas. Please help, I'm afraid I'll have to go away for 2 weeks with no alarm set on my house... Thanks

  11. My sister has a veritas 8c, the alarm will not set.Normally my sister presses full and goes out the alarm is set.On entry she inputs her code and the alarm is off.At present the alarm will not set and when trying to set the alarm red lights 6,7,8 illuminate. It omits constant beeping.I have counted the beeps 8,slight pause then the same 8 beeps and so on, always 8 beeps. Can somebody help please.

  12. Hi, I have a Texecom Premier Elite with a Com2400 and a Speech Module. Lately when my phone rings, there is a modem tone that answers the phone, as far as I can tell it's probably the com2400 as there's nothing else apart from phones connected to the landline. How can I turn off the setting for the com2400 to answer incoming calls? The manual wasn't too clear on this. I have a USB cable to connect to the panel, but in this instance if it's fairly straightforward then I'd rather use the RKP. Thanks

I have a Tunstall TS500 installed in 1993. Has started eating batteries. Charging voltage only 10.5 volts. Has experience of this problem or have a spare panel in the shed?

  14. I'm reasonably competent with all things electrical / electronic and recently moved in to a new house. I was initially planning to go for a full wired system as the house supposedly had a "first fix for Alarm", long story short the first fix was rubbish and had no where near enough cables for the kind of security I was looking for. So I decided to go with a Texecom Premier Elite 64W with a rough mix of 50/50 wired and wireless sensors, I also got the SmartComm as I wanted the ability to talk to it remotely with my phone etc. The parts I bought were: 1 x Premier Elite 64W 1 x SmartComm 1 x Wired Prox LCD Keypad 3 x Wired Magnetic Door…
