!!..DIY Installers..!!

It seems my Euro46 App panel only likes to unset using the same method it was set by, with the exception of code which unsets happily... Is there a way to config the panel to unset by any, regardless? For example, I set by App earlier, and she tried to unset using her Tag, but was unable to and had to resort to Code. We only have Zone A configured, and all codes, tags, fobs and app are configured to set/unset A only. Flexi Set is on for Code, but nothing else. Flexi Unset is off.

Hi all. A couple of years ago several of you here kindly guided me along and helped me with several aspects of installing an alarm at my old house. It was a Texecom Ricochet with a comm wifi unit. I've finally got round to terminating my structured cabling, which means for the first time, I've been able to attempt to connect to my Euro46 panel. When connecting in Insite UDL v10.31a (via Cloud) I'm being told Actual panel type not in database [851] Any ideas? I'm just hoping to login and take a backup of my panel.

I've got a Eurosec CP8L LCD house alarm, pre-installed (presumably by the builders) in the house I bought from somebody else 2 years ago. I do know the Engineer code and the User code. when we moved in, there was a "!!!! CHECK !!!! Low Batt." reading on the alarm, so fair enough, I bought a new battery, unscrewed the box in the garage, got the tamper alert, replaced the battery and all was well. Hi everyone, I've had some experience with alarms, mostly Texecom and Pyronix, just done a couple wired installs here and there for mates. In my Garage I have an older Castle/Pyronix Euro One panel, it's running software V6.051 with a few EOL zones. It was monitored over PSTN a couple years back but since been disconnected (switched alarm company after old castle iD panel in the house went kaput). I want to setup SMS messaging over PSTN but I can't edit the setttings for the SMS TAP gateway. I only have the option of Vodafone, Orange, One2One and Cellnet(remember them!!). I was hoping for some help with choosing an alarm system and CCTV system. I am quite good at DIY so I am trying to fit myself as I have just moved in to my first house and all the costs that go with that. We had an attempted break in a few days ago and we are now worried about security.I am looking at wireless for the alarm system, but will consider wired as any POE camera I install will need cabling anyway. Whilst hunting for any form of alarm with Homekit support, I only came across two options. The Honeywell Lyric, which seems to be US only. And the DSC Iotega, which their website says is available in the UK: http://www.dsc.com/index.php?n=Products&o=view&id=2628 Does anybody know who can supply/fit this? Or any alternate Homekit options?

Hi Every body.I have just registered and would like to ask a question please. I have an excisting alarm.The alarm works fine, but the outside bell sounder does not operate when the alarm is activated.I have removed the bell,(which is very old and a circular bell inside the bell box).I would have just liked to replace the round bell, but it is proving quite difficult to replace with another round bell.There are only for wires into the bell box red and black to the bell and blue and yellow are tamper and go to a micro switch that is activated then the screw is removed from the bell box. Hi all, apologies for only joining for a bit of advice, but here I am. My Pyronix Sterling 10 keypad was dying, so I've replaced the whole system with a Texecom Premier Elite. I'm happy I've wired just about everything correctly, testing the zones on the keypads shows that all the door sensors and PIRs are operating properly. The tamper circuit is in series (I may change to EOL later once I understand exactly how to do it) and I have tested that, it works fine. I do not know how to wire the bell. Unfortunately I'd have to hire a ladder to get to it, so I can't see the terminals on the bell or who manufactured it, but I can show you the terminals and wiring…

I'm going to install a Euro46 and before I go ahead and order it, I wanted to make sure I could make use of the "smart" features (mobile app etc), without needing to subscribe to Pyronix Cloud. I'm assuming "Pyronix Cloud" is more of a feature/toolset for actual installers to monitor many systems etc... equally, I assume it has features that help the end user keep connected to their alarm, DDNS etc, similar to "Hik Connect" in the camera world. I am simply wanting to know, if I can make use of the app without having Pyronix Cloud. As a DIY installer, I dont have any means of creating a "trade account" for Pyronix Cloud, if required.

I've installed this system over 2 months ago and over the last few days I've been getting a tamper warning bell box (Deltabell E). Both the siren and panel sounded. So I checked the Deltabell Microswitch and adjusted the back tamper screw on the bell box. All was ok for 24 hours However this morning the panel sounded with out the external bell box sounding. Log indicates input 33 tamper bell box with a amber fault warning on panel flashing. To get around this I deleted input 33 and the panel warning light had gone . However this cannot be the solution to the problem. Help please.

We have a 20 year old Optima XM, which works fine, except it does not charge the battery. I presume it needs a new main board to correct this. I wondered if permanantly connecting an external trickle charger to the battery would fix this, without causing any problems? I would welcome any advice on this. Thanks

I've got a Deltabell E wired to a pyronix enforcer. It's been fine for 2 months then this morning the siren goes off with the log : Bell box tamper lid open at 03:28.59 seconds and at 03:29.08 seconds.12 seconds apart. No rain no wind tamper leveling screw correct and lid correct. Could this be blip?

Just moved into a ‘new’ house, built 18yrs ago. It has an old ADE Optima Compact intruded alarm (of unknown generation). I want to remove it and fit something more modern. Obviously when i disconnect the mains supply, the alarm soundest go off. So I took the cover off the main pane and disconnected the 12v battery. This disables the internal alarm, but the external siren continues. Why? Does it have it own battery? Thanks in advance.

Hi. I programmed an extra pir sensor today and I may of altered the program on my pyronix enforcer w.e. Everything is working fine however when I enter engineering mode the hard wired siren goes off. Any ideas what I've done?
