Good morning all Advise please. Wiring a Viper GLX shock sensor 8 wire to a Texecom Premier Elite 24. I am using EOL wiring in the zones. I assume I wire in the 4K7 & 2k2 resistors as I have on PIR’s. However Terminal 7 the set input to remotely control the LED and terminal 8 first to alarm. How should I wire these and were do I connect on the panel? There is also a resistor that comes with the Viper, what about this? Thank you

Hi, My gran has an old system called "HOUSEGUARD" installed by a company in Stockport called Hi-Tec Security. has anyone heared of them? I'm looking at replacing the system in a house I'm moving to soon and it seems like good kit. It doesn't work on PIR's, just entry point contacts and impact/vibration sensors on windows. Means the alarm can be on all the time, even when we're in. My concern is that I just can't get any information out of the company. if the customer service is bad before i give them two grand, what will it be like after? Am I just unlucky or do they have a reputation in the industry? Does anyone else make a similar system I could consider? I do…

Hi All I have just purchased one of those Yale IA220 kits https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273144001997?ul_noapp=true I know, I know ....I would have been better off with a Pyronix or something a bit more beefy! but we are struggling with the old cash-ola. I have fitted alarms in the past ...but i am NOT a professional ...so I have only done it for myself. Currently we have an old Gardiner one ...It was great ...20 years ago ...but it turned its toes up last year and so I opted for an easy fit one ...as some of the sensors are also knacked and the PIR's are a bit tatty ... So I am going to give this a whirl at …

Hi, I apologise if this is in the wrong place to ask, but a silly problem, I have a Tate ( who I think is a screw fix panel) manual T-BP-8Z and the door chime has stoped working, the alarm panel is still all fine, I am just looking for the code sequence to enable it again? thanks Mark

recently purchased some 100m alarm cable reels, in 4, 6 and 6 core. Has anyone had problems with cables recently? the quality is so poor, the outer insulation will not strip easily, and the inner cores are so fine, that when you manage to strip them, the conductor is so fine it will not push into an open connector on a panel or even connector strip. To add insult to injury the colours are way off, some had no yellow, but grey/white, the green so dark it looks like black, I told the supplier but said no one else has commented. I know I am getting older! What cable does anyone recommend? see a few photos attached.

Any Help, comments or even criticisms are appreciated. If I wanted to start a company, to put my product idea into the market, how would I go about this, employing minimal people. Please see my basic structure below.. I do have a few unique ideas, which I think would really catch on, not just panels. And, is this how companies like ADE, Texecom and Pyronix do/did it? Or was it all done in house? No separate manufacturers

Hi guys: As title, I need some new long SDS bits at a reasonable price. Specifically 8mm X 800mm and 10mm X 1000mm, checked a couple of local suppliers but they're asking stupid money for them.

Good morning everyone. First post and I’m hoping someone can recommend the best way to deal with my problem. Our house was prewired in preparation for an alarm installation. All the cables are in place around the house and just need the key pads, sounder, pirs wiring in. However the problem is that the cables terminating back to the control box site have been cut way too short. The cables will not put through any further and the flooring above is not accessible in any shape or form (wet room). I don’t want a wireless system. I’m planning on fitting a Texecom Premier Elite 24 (either Polycarbonate or metal). Any suggestions on the best…
