Quoting customers for upgrading their panel to a euro app 46 on the system they have old interia contacts similar to my attachment the old panel was a hkc 1070 I've come across this before upgrading a hkc panel and the interia wouldn't work on the euro 46 so i replaced the interia as there was only 1 on the system. I don't want to if possible to replace all the interia contacts on this system as there's 8 in total is there anything i can do to make the interias work with the euro 46 ? airtech shock.pdf

Hi, After some help. My new build had an Alarm installed when I bought it. Consists of a CP8L, with an internal CQR SONIT2 Sounder, extender and a couple of KeyFobs. When we bought the house we got told the 'Code' by the Builder handover person, but never used it or set others, we just used the fob whenever we wanted to set the Alarm. We also ddi not sign up to the £200 per year Annual service fee, which seemed quite a lot at the time. The Alarm has now started to misbehave, it goes off internally from time to time (not externally) and as we have no code the only way to get the sounder to turn off is to press the buttons on the fob. Problem 1: It appear t…

Hi all Just a quick noob question, I've used galaxy rrs for some time but never remotely only stood in front of the panel. In the manual it mentions a modem, how does that work in the always connected fibre world of today? Under ethernet can't I just put the IP details of the udl from the webway/dualcom?

Got called out today to an Orisec panel today. Never seen these before but it was a new install relatively recently and looked quite nice. Anyone worked on these and if so what do you think. I contacted Orisec and they are wanting me to upload logo etc and register properly. Found some other stuff on her from last September but kit looks nice now.

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on an issue ive had today. I have upgraded an existing CCTV System from an old PC based system to a DVR but the DVR is restarting around every 10 mins. I have disconnected all monitors bar my test monitor and it still did it changed the HD removed the HD changed the power supply changed the password Camera wiring remains original and I'm thinking I could maybe have some power coming up one of the existing cables which over loads the dvr in some way and restarts it. Any ideas before I give in and call support Thanks

Hi all I was wondering what you one man bands do with regards to fused spurs You've just sold a texecom wireless system to a domestic customer and what do you do about the power? I'm interested as I'm starting to enter the domestic market and wanted to know the accepted solution I know you registered boys will say spur always and it's down to the customer, which I agree. But as I'm feeding the grudge purchase bottom end of the market I can't afford to be, that's how it has to be. Interested in your thoughts

Hi, I've just upgraded my Honeywell Accenta Gen3 to a Gen4. (Also fitted is an ADE Gen 4 Informa speech dialler.) In the Gen3 there was an engineer flag you can set (called "Program n to Report") so that part-set programs 2 & 3 don't report to the dialler (e.g. when using a part-set program at night I don't want it to dial my mobile when I forget to unset the system in the morning!). I've hunted high & low in the Gen4 documentation to find the same configuration but it seems to have been removed in the "upgrade"! Any ideas how I can prevent Programs 2 & 3 from communicating with the dialler?

Saw this over on the GDPUK trade forums, thought it would be interesting to have your thoughts from both perspectives! "hi. Im new to the GDPUK - posted a query last night and it didn't submit, so not sure I am doing this correctly. However, I am in need of some sensible advice on fire alarms please. We have had a fire risk assessment by Chubb and have been advised to have a fire alarm fitted because we only have domestic ones that are not considered suitable. The recommendation is " a category L4 fire alarm system ...in compliance with the recommendations of the current British Standard 5839;part 1..."We have a quotes form Chubb to place this, at over £4k. th…

Strange one, the DygiZone that I installed about 6 years ago with 2 Solitaire units and D-Tect2 PIRs has started making random clicking noises. I've checked the backup battery (3V) and even done a battery-out reset but the damn thing keeps clicking usually when one of the PIRs fires up but sometimes it just starts all by itself. Anybody encountered this before? I'm wondering if it's one of the Solitaire units.
