Does anyone know how an anti drill tamper works and how i could make one myself?

  2. I had Risco Agility 3 with IP and GSM modules installed 2 days ago with Asda pay as you go card. The installer set up the Follow Me, I've added my phone numbers and from user menu sent test message. Received test message. But it seems that there is no message is actually sent during defined events, ie alarm. I even went to engineer menu and added event to send message for setting an alarm and still no luck. Anyone have any ideas? If someone can ping me an installer guide for agility 3 that might be helpful as I've used standard agility manual. Other question does anyone know how to set check balance using Asda sim? From website it should be text BAL to 2732, but setting …

Hello all I wonder if you can again point me in the right direction. This mystery involves the elusive Texecom Elite 24 and two of his associates keypad 1 (who has always behaved himself) and the new kid keypad 2. Both have individual DIL’s. 1 being off, off, off, off and keypad 2 on, off, off, off. The problem is that keypad 2 displays the time etc but the time stops counting and remains with the frozen time displayed until its reset button pressed. It will then count the current time for 30 seconds or so and stop again. It also does not put out any sound. Any ideas. Keypad 1 is working normally. Cheers

  4. Hello guys, I have a Risco Agility 3 with IP and GSM - both comms working fine. I have defined two Follow Me (FM), 1 = Me via SMS and 2 = The Wife via SMS also. I as FM1 get all SMS for events defined no probs. However, FM2 (i.e. The wifes phone) does not get anything - her phone is defined correctly - FM test successful (she gets a text) and she can set/unset via sms no probs. Is this by design perhaps, that the system tries the FM numbers in order and if FM1 IS successful, i.e. a SMS was sent ok to FM1 THEN IT IGNORES ALL OTHER DEFINED FMs? If so then it's a bit silly, as we would both like to get S…

Hi, I've bought some texecom PIRs to install into my house. I've bought Dual element ones for the rooms in the house and a Dual technology one for the garage. I'm told this is correct but what is the difference out of interest. Rob

Hi all I have a G2-20 panel which is randomly setting off, when I look on the log it has the detector which triggered the false alarm then it will always have Batt Mis proceeding the alarm. I have checked the battery but it still does it, is this a faulty panel and if so what is the new equivalent of a G2-20 as I have read that they are now obsolete? Cheers

Hi, Just moved into a house with a Concept 6 alarm, the first night I set the alarm for the night, I discovered the internal sounder was cranked up to 11 and pretty much woke everyone in the house up. Next day I read the manual, opened the panel and turned the volume down to the minimum. It's much better now, but ideally it would not make any noise during the set, just a beep at the end to indicate that it did set correctly - this is what the alarm in my previous home did. Can anyone tell me If this possible on this alarm and how? Many thanks.

Hi, I have just moved out of house which had a pyronix enforcer alarm. I need to remove my mobile number from the system and replace it with the new tenant's number - I don't particularly want to know when they've set it off. I've looked through the manual and can't see any instructions for doing this. Can anyone advise? Many thanks.

Hi, I just came home and it seemed like there was a power cut. I turned on the electricity power plugs and the power came back on however the abs is going off, it is only the alarm box making the noise and there is a red light next to the settings(?) icon. I was considering turning the power off just to stop the noise but than the alarm outside goes off. I have no idea how to deal with it and it is too late to contact any engineers. Please help

Hi all Currently having issues with the speaker input on a twin alert. It's wired to a GD48 and all is working apart from the speaker input for ee horn tones. I've connected it to the speaker negative (and tried positive) to no avail, anyone else had issues when using a dimension? Can I use a programmable output instead? I was under the impression that the speaker input of the twin alert wasn't designed to be fed DC so being a bit wary! Even pyronix tech support were scratching their heads. Cheers
