Heard this on the radio yesterday, it made me smile.... Fella orders a new BMW, doesn't want the ashtray, orders the coin holder instead. Car arrives, dealer gets it wrong, it's got the ashtray. Several phone calls later, our fella is so irate that he rings his Mercedes dealer to ask what they would have done in similar circumstances. Anyhow, next day his doorbell rings and there's a chap on his doorstep delivering his new BMW coinholder. Our man says, "well I've been a bit angry by the poor customer service, but fair play to you, you've delivered it now, even brought it to my door personally, so no hard feelings, Mr. BMW." Reply: "Actually sir, I'm from Mercedes." …

Can someone help me please? Several years ago i setup shop on my own and was successful for two and a half years, all but three jobs in that time were from 'word of mouth', which i am proud of. Sadly i got stung for a rather large sum by a very slow payer. The 'lack of money' domino affect ment i had to go back PAYE. Hi Guys, Been Fire installing for around 18 months and things are getting bigger. Im looking to add some "small print" to tenders. Im working as a subcontractor to a couple of heavy duty companies and am feeling a wee bit wide open since being involved in some big contracts. I need to know if and how I can cover myself on extras, delays due to other contractors and defective equipment / design. So far my T's and C's dont go much further than Asbestos. .
