Can anyone help? i changed the battery in my garage sensor and the system will not reset. i have both the user and engineer codes. keeps saying ’can’t set! Eng. anti 4814’ & ‘garage T!’ I thought there might have been an issue with the tamper resting, but I can hear the micro switch make, and even tried it by taping the micro switch close with the sensor cover removed. Frustrating!!!

Hi there, I'm just after some general advice regarding a security system I have installed in the house I just bought. It is a (C&K Securitech) Securit 700L, and the internal battery is apparently dead, as when the mains is cut, the external alarm (bell box) sounds, presumably powered by an independent back up battery. I have both the user and engineer guides (available online), neither of which have instructions for battery replacement. I would ideally like to know the model of battery required, and also which of the following methods should be followed to replace: EITHER 1) Remove cover from main panel (which will presumably trip a tamper alarm) - then…

Hi all, I recently removed a risco door contact from its door frame to repaint the frame. Once putting the door contact back on the door frame the alarm is now saying that there is an error. I have a gardtec 600 control panel which states ‘error please enter code’ and when I put the code in to set the alarm it says I need to contact the security firm. Anyone able to assist with fixing this error without me having to pay for an engineer! Thanks!

I've noticed there is still interest in the Securit 700L Plus. I have one, recently removed from my home due to an upgrade. It is in perfect working order and good condition. See photos. Open to offers.

I came in the other day and I put in my code like normal, but that didn't work. It just ignored it completely. Then after 3 tries it failed completely. The pulsing buu buu buu noisce stopped and it played a two note boo buu boo buu noise. Along with that there was a high pitched reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee noise from the loft area, which could be the dreaded master blaster (I didn't even know we had one!!) I tried code and that worked. Now the FAULT and ALARM light is on and the display is flashing E, 6 and I. I called the company but they charge exorbitant prices. I will give it a go myself, although if it goes out of my skill set then will give em a call. Any suggestions?…

Hi All, Needed a bit of advise. Had a new aluminium front door installed. The previous wooden door had a flush contact sensor. I've attached a photo. I needed a new sensor that would be on the surface rather than flush. Not quite sure what to get. Originally it was a CQR MAXIMAL FLUSH CONTACT FC504 O.G 23MM. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what to replace it with? Will this do the job? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F261754615766 Any help will be greatly appreciated. Titch

Hi, We’ve had a monitored alarm for a few years, it’s recently stopped working, it rings the monitoring station but they can’t hear us and we can’t hear them. It does occasionally work. It’s only a theory but could it be the heat, something expanding? Main alarm unit is in the loft and it gets unbearably hot up there and we’ve only noticed the issue the last month. Don’t want to get them out and find it’s something stupid that will take me 2 mins to sort. Cheers

Hi all, long time no see, I have removed a few prima's recently mainly the old 200 and 300's, sadly obsolete haven't got a bad word to say about them, except maybe the soldered on board batteries were a bit of a pain to replace, other than that very loud with a bright strobe you can actually see and cool comfort leds, Only question I have is regarding the total current draw on these? I have measured a few and highest reading I got on one was approaching 700ma!, the others were around the 500 600ma ma mark, Was the prima 200/300 ever this power hungry?, or is it likely the on board batteries have become faulty over the years to draw this amount of current?, Is this the rea…

Hi, I have a Risco Lightsys 2 Panel and I have the 4 button Keyfob. Button 3 is setup as PANIC but when I press it the siren/sounder does not go off, nor does the panel change to PANIC. I do get an email and app notification though. On another system I have in another property, when I press button 3 on that Keyfob, the siren/sounder goes off and the panel shows PANIC. Have I missed a setting somewhere? Thanks Gary

I have moved into a house with an //.National Installer.// accord xpc alarm system (red, green and blue buttons, has 'paddle' key fob disarm feature). The panel has been trouble free, however that has just changed. Maintenance has revealed that the panel has been locked with an engineers code, so currently whole thing is disconnected and shut down to stop the noise. How will the service engineer get around this, right now I have a great system that doesn't work until we can get back into it and bypass or reprogramme the code - unless there is a code that will bypass all????? No doubt //.National Installer.// will be able to help, but will charge mega bucks in the proc…
