Hi I was installing an rapier 6000 to my alarm I decided to test it and noticed that it did not sound when I powered down the panel or disconnected the sounder the engineer link was still connected but I was wondering is this bell sab or scb and is there a way to select which. thanks for any help

Hi every one, I've just purchased a new Texecom Ricochet 64 Way. Set up the system 3 PIR and 1 door contact no problem apart from I realised that when setting up the config it turns of the zones on the hard wired panel so I re instated them in the config/programme menu as I wanted to add two additional hard wired PIR and looped out the other two. But unless these zones are set as not used I get tamper showing? Any Ideas please? Thanks.

Hi, can anyone help, I have an accenta g3 installed in my home and at times for the last few months on unsetting the system the pa led starts flashing, no audible noise just flashing, I press reset and all ok, I have been in the industry 30 years and have never come across this before and can't find any explanation online, any pointers would be appreciated, the system was installed approx 13/14 years ago.

I have a problem. This system was working fine then suddenly started to beep regularly. The lights were flashing and when I tried to set the alarm this message came up"restore required. Code G16258 anti -code needed" it also said control panel battery fault. What does this mean or do I need to get a professional in?

Can anyone identify this panel please? All I have is the installers name on it, no make or model identification. Many thanks Lee

Hi I have a securetech alarm system (at least that's what is on the control panel) The system is old it was in when we moved in 17 years ago. Last week we have a couple of very short power cuts and now it won't switch on so any advice gratefully received thanks in advance

Hello i had a risco agility 3 installed around 18 months ago , very impressed with it until now, not sure if there’s a fault or just needs a reset, to me it’s not user friendly , meaning that I cant find the info and fix this myself, in the first instance I’d prefer to understand the system rather than get the the installer back, they also don’t have a customer service or technical helpline , can anyone direct me to a website to download fault finding etc. ? Thank you

Pretty simple really...I've narrowed down my choice to the following kit - Texecom Premier Elite 48 Wireless Expander 7 Dual PIRs 4 Impaq Shock/Contacts GSM Module ComWIFI Bell Box Difference in costs between a wired vs wireless is that the wired in about £400 cheaper. I a veering to wired because im not sure on wireless reliability, cost is not the factor here. However when I look on the texecom site its heavilly investing on the Ricochet tech & wireless. So should I stick with Wired or go down the wireless route? and if wireless - why? Thanks Gents!

My father has a large house in a quite remote area near the coast, where the closest neighbour who is usually around is about half a mile away and my father is using it as a part time house and is only there about every other weekend. Hi has had a 2 intrusions in the last couple of years and has since renovated the house and will probably because of that only look forward to more attempts. It is remote, with a not too big of a garden area, so a small fence might be an option and also a driveway gate is something I have supposed. Hello, I have recently moved into a house and noticed that I have one permanently lit green LED on the external bell box. Neighbors systems seem to have 2 leds which alternate. Any idea what causes this? The alarm is a Veritas 8 with telecom bell boxes. Is that enough to go on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I changed a battery in the dining room PIR and the alarm now won’t set.Displays says:!!Enter Code!!!!!Check!!!I enter code and hit reset and the internal alarm starts sounding and display again says!!Enter Code!!!!!Check!!!I enter code again and it saysDining Rm RPI T!I’ve searched online (I know nothing about alarms) and I’ve tried stretching the spring slightly but still the same. I’ve tried attempting to set whilst holding spring down and get the same error.Please does anyone have any other suggestions?
