    Thanks. I know all that having worked in the industry for many years but I have never come across the message quoted in my first post. That is what I need an answer to, not if 10 years is good value for money. It probably is but I don't want to tell my neighbour he needs a new system if an EEProm reset is all that is required or a replacement EEProm. I need to know if the last two points are realistic or possible. Thanks Phil

    Hi James. It has been working fine in a neighbours' house for many years. It is a split system and the man is very satisfied with it. Just want to know if the message highlighted is likely to be the beginning of a problem or something that happens every now and then. Is it likely to be serious? Thanks Phil
