  1. I have a yellow light on the control unit that states 'call installer' The log also reports "Tamper Z07 Rstr" which is the remote input panel This was after the property lost power and was hard-reset at the fuse box. Any suggestion is welcome

Hi, I had a water leak which came through the ceiling and destroyed my Menvia M12 4 in 1 detector. I sourced some Apollo Series 65 off a friend as replacement but I can seem to get them to work. The eurosec CPX alarm panel just reports fire zone 006 when i try and do anything on the keypad and the alarm sounds. Should these be compatible with my system? My wiring is as follows: red: +ve Black: -ve Yellow: Zone +ve Blue: Zone -ve Green and white: Earth/tamper the series 65 only seems to have L1, L1 out, L2, R-, and earth connections. It also has a diode between L1 and L1 out so not sure if I need this also? Any ideas on if this detecor will be…

I'm a bit of a novice with alarm systems (installed a few basic wireless kits in the past), but a keen DIY'er and have an electronics, computing / programming background and am looking to replace an existing system which is dated and some of it needs rewiring. I've been doing my research on the forums here and reading a some guides (already learned a lot from this site, such a useful resource) but I'm after a bit of advice about a suitable alarm / panel and wiring. The current system consists of a number of magnetic sensors and PIRs. I'm looking to increase the number of sensors to a total of 9 (4 magnetic, 5 PIRs) individually wired, ideally 2 external sounders (1 e…

Hi All, Hoping you can assist me with an installation for my newly purchased alarm system. I bought the Pyronix Enforcer PSTN kit which comes with the Digi-PSTN modem. Having read the installation guide I am still a little unsure how I should be connecting the modem to the telephone socket. Before purchasing I assumed it would just require plugging a RJ11 from the Enforcer unit to a microfilter connected to the telephone socket. From the installation guide it seems I will need to wire them into the modem. As I am a novice with alarms and wiring could someone shed some light on how I should be wiring this up to my telephone line/socket? Thank you in advance.

Hello all, I have an accenta g4 system up and running. However when I try and wire a second keypad to the panel (have checked the wiring about a million times!) at power up the keypads just show a version information and accept no button pushes? Alarm also going off. Any ideas? Manual says I can have multiple, so a bit lost !! Thanks in advance for any ideas...

right, after a fair amount of research I am now completely confused. the wife wants to get an alarm for the house, the requirements are below. - has to be wireless - keypad cannot go by the front door as no power socket and will be hidden away, near router and electrics ( will need a remote key fob to unset on entry) - requires min 2 door contacts, 1 - 2 pir - external bell - she wants to part arm system ( so that she can come down in the night and not set off alarm, but door contacts stay alarmed) now the bad part, she only wants to spend around the £200 ish mark, I know this wont get the best in the world but could go a little higher. from what I can see…

  8. Hi guys. New to this forum. I've recently extended my house and fitted a new alarm system to with it. The security shop sold me a euro 46 with a zem8 expander module. I've fitted the alarm, programmed it and got it to the point of the walk test. It's recognising everything on the main panel but none of the pirs or door contacts on the expander. I've never fitted an alarm but I'm a gas fitter and electrician so didn't think it would be to difficult. Thanks.

Hi All, This is my first post and hopefully I have picked a topic relevant to my question. When I moved into my house 18 years ago the Optima 2 Plus alarm was already fitted, so no idea how old it is ! Generally it works fine, if you don't mis-key and end up with 'odd' settings, but my problem relates to battery backup. Occasionally we get power outages - which causes the alarm to sound constantly. I have been told the battery backup may not be working ? On other forums there is talk of a battery in the control panel - if this is the keypad then I can't see a battery. Is the control panel the white box in my garage ? If so, again from other forums, it looks like …

  10. Hi, I have all my system up and running now, and it's great, but I have a couple of nagging issues which are annoying me now because I can't seem to sort them out... 1) I've played around with all sorts of volume controls and speaker options in a bid to quieten the thing down, but it doesn't seem to do what I want. It's just too loud in general. For instance, I have a PIR set to guard access by the keypad on part-arm, and so the countdown to disarm starts when we go downstairs and activate the PIR. All fine but the noise generated by it is just so jarring, especially with a sleeping young child upstairs. I've tried changing the volume of the keypad volume but it o…

  11. I've installed a Honeywell Flex 50 with a single TouchCenter LCD (CP042-00) keypad with keyprox however I'm having a problem exiting engineer mode due to a tamper error. I enter the engineer code and press ESC and it checks for tampers and comes up with 1 Mod tamper which when viewed is Keypad 011. That would imply to me it was the keypad failing however I can't find why it might be failing given everything is installed and screwed up. What isn't clear to me is what the number 011 means, the key pad being a LCD is on Address 1. All the zones are showing fine and no tampers. Does any one have any thoughts on what to check and try, obviously with this i…

Hi. On the premier elite 48w there is an option on the control panel that allows you to select either 0.3 or 0.75a charging current. How can I change between the two? It's not a switch on the board and I can't see the option within the 40000 page manual! Also would the unit display a battery fault if I'm yet to connect the bell'sown battery? .

hello to all, i have a normal professionally installed wired alarm system in my home, is it possible to change the pirs to camera containing pirs and have my control panel changed or added to so that my alarm system doubles up to a cctv system? basically i dont want to run more wires all over my house, but use the existing wires to a dual alarm/cctv system that can be accessed from my phone, etc. remotely... any advice? thanks

May be as simple as this? I have a second keypad in the main bedroom, and i want to silence this keypad….can't see anything in the programming so do i just cut the wires to its internal speaker... I have a second keypad and a separate internal sounder downstairs…. Silencing the upstairs keypad is about not waking up the other half with the door chimes etc thanks

  15. Started by enasecurity,

Evening all, I have a premier 88 that was purchased new but only installed 6 months ago in replacement of my old menvier panel. It has been working flawlessly since today... It seems like one of the zones is stuck in walk test mode. When the zone is opened the keypad and internal speaker produce the walk test/fault tone. I have been on the phone with texecom and tried unprogramming the zone, entering and exiting walk test, powering down the panel....everything! And it still seems to be stuck. The system still operates fine though. Has anyone else come across this problem? It seems very strange! Thanks
