I've readen that several years ago you've successfully updated your I-ON40 to firmware 4.04.14 I'm stuck at 2.02 version and would like to update it. I have firmare file version 4.05.06 but I don't have right bootloader version (only a 0.00.06 version in zip file I have) so I can't update. Do you have a bootloader file 1.00.01 ? All firmware zip file on the web are locked by a strong password. I've asked to cooper to send me the password but I don't have any answer. http://www.touchpoint-online.com/content/i-on40 http://www.coopersafety.nl/?pageId=2&lang=fr&CategoryId=22&ProductId=1375 thanks …

Does the galaxy G3 have a zone type similar to the keyswitch zone type where it only sets the system when the keyswitch zone is open? I need to be able to set a G3 from a panel in another building but the keyswitch zone type isn't ideal as it would also unset it when the main building is unset. Any ideas on if I can use the keyswitch zone type or if I should be using a custom zone?

Hi All! We currently have a Veritas R8 alarm system installed - done by a gumtree 'installer' who by the sounds of it has screwed up an awful lot of the wiring. System is a Texecom Veritas R8 with 5PIR's and 3 door contacts, 1 RKP, 2 bellboxes (one front, one rear) - About a month ago we had a power surge which blew something in the alarm panel and bellboxes. The system is now extremely buggy - will set but then not go off once i trigger a PIR or door contact, will go off when i have unset the system, front bellbox is faulty - has been wired correctly and i've checked the cable myself again, all in correctly but will not 'ring' when te…

  9. Hello, Just after some advice about changing an old bell box for a Pyromix DeltaBELL plus. The panel is a Optima XM panel (quite old) I am unsure of how many cores are going to the old bell as I am doing the job for a friend. I am an industrial electrician by trade so I have limited knowledge of alarms! I have no manual for the new bell box but I am told there's 7 terminals. I'm due to go there this weekend so thought I'd do some homework before attempting it. Anyone on here have a diagram for this bell or any advice? I have the manual for the panel but not the new box. Thank You!

Hello folks, I have gone with a wired Texecom Premier Elite system and have ordered the bits today. And, having done that, I realised that aside from the bell box, I need an annoying / loud siren inside the property. Any suggestions? Something uncomfortable enough for the burglar so he wouldn't want to spend much time inside. EDIT: found this, but don't know if it is any good? Installation is into a ground floor flat...Kinetic Sound Bomb 2 https://www.kinetic-group.co.uk/kinetic_security/products/internal_sounders/sound_bomb_2/

  12. Hi, I know nothing about cctv. I have someone dumping the contents of their ashtray at our front gate, nothing major but very disrespectful and I would like to know who it is. So, I am not looking for something very spohisticated but something basic and portable that does not require a power supply. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hello folks, I'm in the midst of researching alarms (Texecom, Honeywell, Pyronix) and would like some advice on where theoretically it would be best to position PIR sensors. Property is a ground floor flat, all across one level. Front door looks onto a busy street, while the back is a garden. I have done a plan to show you here: My questions / issues are: 1. Bedroom 1: PIR faces large bay window, might be an issue with light throughout the day? Location 2 probably better. 2. Hallway: PIR 2 overlooks entrance door and down the hall, so no issues there I don't think? Entrance to flat is marked with an …

  14. After completing a fairly extensive domestic installation, my focus is now towards the exterior of the property. I've been looking at the GJD Mini Opal External PIR Detector or Pyronix High security tri-technology outdoor detector as a potential component of monitoring the outdoor areas, to act mainly as a pre-alarm (e.g. chimes and/ or activating internal sounders only). The detector would be mounted to monitor the access route to a part of my home which does have some foliage etc. surrounding it but is mostly free from movement (although given that everything will be the same temperature, I don't see this being too much of an issue with false alarms etc.) …

Hi, I am hopeful that someone may be able to assist me with locating a Nexus 8 remote keypad. My son has just moved into his new house and the house is fitted with a nexus 8 alarm panel and has a remote keypad in the side entrance to the house. This is fine when exiting and entering the property but if you want to set the alarm whilst in the house ie whilst up stairs and omit zones the keypad being in the side passage way this makes it impracticable. So I am intending to fit a second keypad by the stairs. I have attempted to search online in an attempt to buy one but cannot find one. Does anyone know of a supplier.? Regards.
