  1. Thanks for your help everyone Got the system up and running today with no faults Took a while to get my head around the setting up procedure and having to change the sensor settings for entry/exit, guard etc.... but seem to have got there in the end So now she wants me to get her an internet sounder ( not a speaker as in my previous post ) Could somebody point me in the in the right direction for what I need to purchase, and also the correct way to connect one of these into the panel, I've taken a cable from the panel to the point where the speaker is going already Thanks very much Matt
  2. Hi Adrian, Thats brilliant, thanks very much for that Ill get it out of the box tomorrow and have a read Much appreciated Thanks Matt
  3. She's no need for the speaker so I won't bother with that then
  4. SWB, I'll ask one of the lads at work if they have an engineers manual and take it from there. I'm sure somebody will have one I can borrow for a day or 2 And thanks for answering my questions, much appreciated Matt
  5. Thanks al-yeti, this speaker / sounder just says 12v 16ohm, and can be used as an extension speaker, or depending on your panel, can be used as an internal siren Haha yes, just tried editing my first post as it was a stupid question but it won't let me, please ignore question 1 all. Thanks Matt
  6. Thanks all. Went over to the sisters today, got power to the panel, got the cable to the keypad at the other side of the house and got all 5 ricochet devices learnt to the panel The problem I'm having is the manual she gave me is more of a quick guide type of thing, A5 size, and doesn't really explain anything to me other than basic functions So.... I have a load of questions if you don't mind, or if somebody knows where I can read the manual online and could link me to it that would be great. Currently when I put the user code in on the keypad, it takes me to the setup menu, rather than asking me if I want to arm the system, how do I fix this please ? I've had a nosey inside the panel and can see a jumper with ' commissioning mode ' or something similar. Is this something to do with it ? There is a 4 way blue DIP switch to the right hand side of the panel, currently all 4 switches are down. What is this for please ? She has bought one of these internal sounder jobbies that make a racket when the alarm is activated, what is best practice for connecting it up please ? Could I pick up a 12v supply and connect the negative to the bell output terminal or is this not seen as good practice ? It is a 16 ohm sounder I have a couple more questions but that will do for now I think haha Hope you have all had a good day and thanks again for the advice ! Matt
  7. SWB, thanks very much I'm doing it over a couple of days so plenty of time to read the manual etc... Does look a bit complicated on first glance haha ! Just going to get the power in tomorrow for the panel Thanks Matt
  8. Thanks datadiffusion, Just checked the box and its a Premier Elite 48-W
  9. Hi datadiffusion, thanks for your reply On the box it says V3.02 firmware It does come with a CD which says Wintex V6.2.3.2 and Ricochet Monitor V2.18.5 Will take on board regarding replacing batteries and the comIP etc.. thanks for that No, I have no problem using wired devices, ill put that to them and see what they say Once again thanks for your advice Matt
  10. Hi guys, Im a spark by trade but usually stick to what I know best and leave this side of things to you guys Im helping a family member, they have recently bought a new house and want the alarm fitting which was actually given to them by the previous home-owner Ive got the kit at home with me now, and it comes with the following : 32 zone Ricochet panel remote LCD keypad 5 x wireless PIR sensors ( PW-W) 2 x wireless door sensors ( Impact W ) 1 x wireless external sounder 5 x proximity tags 1 x backup battery I basically just wanted a heads up on anything I should look out for when installing this kit ? To save installation time, while I have it at home, could I connect it up to a power source, wire the keypad up and learn all the devices here ? Then once on site fix them in place to correspond with the zone they have been assigned to ? Thanks in advance for any info / help you can offer Matt
